Anyway, GA album is now £4.99 in some places! That's got to have been a reason behind the sudden surge in sales.

Hey was just looking at the older posts. With the updated sales figures, does anyone think TIMW can creep past AWDF? Its still slowly gaining and i've seen it in a number of sales for about £5 recently (particularly ASDA), which it seems to disappear quite quickly from so hopefully is selling! So close to 900k now hope it can get triple platinum cert, as shipped must be nearing 900k if even non-specialist shops are still selling it. Also, where do people think Change will end up? Started well but i'm thinking it probably won't hit near the 800k mark like the others. Don't think O:TSC will now either... Gonna buy the new TIMW anyway as i have the old one so good excuse to push up the sales who's with me!

I'm going to buy Taller when I next see it for a fiver. :P I don't think Change will pass 500k this year if they leave it at 3 singles. If there's a 4th, double-platinum and 600k is the limit imo. :heehee:

I think Change will get over 600k but it won't get near 900k though! :-(

I can't see how it'll get close to 600k unless they drop it down to £5 like GA's is, lol.

 

Album down 9 to #45 in the UK this week.

Think maybe 600k by end of year. Probably be cheap in lots of Xmas/Jan sales this/next year, as often band's previous albums are once all the singles are past to give them a last boost in sales before they are forgotten about completely. But obviously a cheap price point will give as least a short-term boost as evidenced by GA's album at the moment, though interesting to see how long that price lasts and if it pays off in the long run in terms of overall sales. Only concerning fact to me with that is for their fourth single off tangled up (assuming they do one). This may adversely effect performance (e.g. whole album for £5 or single for £3-4), and Sugababes could have same problem if change is cheap.

 

PS- Change has had 26 weeks on top 75 not 25 (front page has been one week out for a couple of weeks now no one has caught it yet with weekly updates) if someone can fix? :P
