A rare week these days, when the top physical, top download, and with downloads only included with a physical release, the top song is the same! Well done Girls Aloud. Why don`t they release downloads, and physicals together every week..then things would be better, and faster.

LENA MARTELL took us all by surprise in 1979, on the Radio One Top 40...when she went to the top nationally. Luxembourg did not have her at the top. DR HOOK hit the top on the next week. Altogether Radio Luxembourg had 28 actually in the top 30.

Last week, we had 36 in the top 40 singles, and 25 in the top 30 albums. How will it compare this week?

Thanks Dave. I was a little nervous about GA not getting number one this week, but it seems they're on track. Impressed by the Kanye climb too, thought it was going to stay middling, really grown on me though, and awesome video.

Glad to see my AC/DC prediction on Haven is vindicated here! Interesting that two compilations take the top spot though.

Surprised to see Geraldine as high as #7 in singles - I'm guessing this will be outside the Top 10 by Sunday, mind.

AC/DC beating all of the other artist albums is no surprise really...they've been top on pre-orders on Play and Amazon for weeks...

what surprises me is Mariah's Ballads album set to go top 10 (if you take out the compilations)...people can pick up her Greatest Hits album for a fiver in some places, it has all of these songs on it and more for half the price

Aah.. but it also has the evergreen favourite "All I Want For Christmas Is You" on it as a bonus track! :D

I thought Kaisers would beat AC/DC but looks about right for the album chart I guess.

I'm certain FOB will make the top 40 unless the physical has been canceled...

Excellent work as usual Dave, i completely agree that downloads and physical releases should be

released in the same week, always thought they should do that.

it's out, I saw it in HMV earlier

What's the story with Billie Jean by Chris Cornell, am I missing something

And finally I never thought Razorlight would have a chance to get top 5 this week, its not even physically released this week, maybe #1 the week after :D

And brilliant for AC/DC, album of the year!

X Factor effect - Austin performed the Chris Cornell version on Saturday

i can't see ACDC that high tbh.

Me neither. Don't think they'll be No.1 in today's mids.

It does? :o That'd be enough to make me buy it then if I didn't already have her greatest hits.

That only has some god damn awful Lil Bow Wow version of '...Christmas' on it :puke:
