Judging by what i've seen from France today I don't think they'll win the World Cup. Switzerland are playing well and they should hopefully beat France.

Did anyone actually expect France to win anyway? I know I certainly didn't hold much hopes for them. Quarters at BEST.

No I didn't, but the bookies make them one of the favourites. France have been and gone IMO, they were the "in" team between 98-2000. There squad is now made up out of players who SHOULD hvae retired by now, and there manager has a huge ego.

I guess it's just the 'hype factor' with the bookies though. They always tend to cling on to the likes of France and Italy as likely contendors just because they've won the World Cup recently (well within the last 20 years). France really do look weak though, and taking Dhorosso to the tournament was the STUPIDEST decision I've ever seen in football.

What a dismal performance from France, Zidane is a great player, but I think his run has come to an end in my opinion, he is not playing his usual best. They are not what they used to be, eight years ago they won the competition, from what I have seen, they have no chance at all.
