OK so the album got off to a appalling start, and it's still struggling to sell anything, it's now at 335k WORLD WIDE

Why do you think the album has flopped? Do you think future singles will help it :o

WIGU was a terrible lead single, in all its a decent song but its not an album seller in anyway, alot of the promotion was quite early, and maybe they are just more of a single seller than albums who knows it might pick up as the project goes along.
It's not over just yet. I Hate This Part is going to be a substantial hit globally and get things going. ^_^
I Hate This Part will probably end up going Low Top 10, but it will help the album out quite a bit I imagine!
Its an average album really.. I was planning on buying the album but thank god i didnt.. Theres like 6 or 7 good songs on there maybe less..

With Bottle Pop being the third single I cant imagine it picking up at all.

I really think it was bad single choices

WIGU--awesome song, but it lost steam fast!!

Whatcha Think About That---weak weak song--don't know what they were thinking?

I Hate This Part--very bland ballad

This album wasn't thought out very well. They should have relesed: Whatchamacalit, Magic, Takin' Over The World, Hush Hush

"When I grow up" was an extremely weak lead single and its their worst single to date. I think thats why the album hasnt done well. Its more an album track. I think they thought it might do well because its an upbeat song, similar in vein to "don't cha" but no way near as catchy. "I hate this part" is a much stronger choice of single and I hope it helps to revive the album but I cant see them doing anywhere near as well as their 1st album.

I think this album is a case of quantity over quality. I mean, a lot of it is okay, some is quite good, and there are probably around 5 songs that are really good. Rather than the 18 track monstrosity it is, they should have given us 10-12 tracks of good quality. Maybe it's down to opinion though. I dont really like the show tuney ones like In Person and Perhaps, Perhaps but for some people they are probably the best bit.

WIGU is great fun, and i like some of the production, but it isn't as good as a number of the hits on PCD unfortunately. IHTP is good, but please tell me Bottle Pop is not the 3rd single. Catchy, but AWFUL lyrically/musically!

Halo, is far superior and should be the next single IMHO

I think theres some background work going on in which Nicoles label (which i assume is the same as PCDs) wasnt happy with the flop of her debut and so they are using Doll Domination as a platform to get her started.

Lets take a look:

When I Grow Up - A Nicole song with very minor background vocals from the rest of the group.

I Hate This Part - Another Nicole song, no background vocals.

Watcha Think About That - An improvement. Melody background and adlibs.

Bottle Pop - Again, Nicole song.

At least with PCD, the singles had some involvement with the girls other than dancing in the background.

I agree. I think Nicole is looked upon as the hot commodity, and i suspect she is paid far more! It wasn't 'til i saw IHTP video i realised the others don't sing a single line in this song. I think that is appalling, how can it be released as a band, it should just have her name on, but the PCD brand obviously sells better (look at her solo efforts), which is why she is back IMHO

And it kind of makes no sense. Like why would they have so much confidence in her considering her solo thing was a huge flop. i think people are getting tired of Nicole.

That's probably why DD didnt do very well.

These girls could be over. Their album falling out of the top 100 after 7 weeks is rubbish!

Also, too much attention is given to Nicole...and i think that is p***ing alot of people off!

I say a petition to release Melody's solo, Kimberly's solo and Ashleys solo :kink:
i think the album hasnt done as well as expected as th egap was to long from the first album plus they didnt start the album off with a strong lead single even tho the single did quite well,,,to bethe fair though the album has done ok and it has some steam left in it yet
total sales for Doll Domination is now: 511.000

Oh lord =/ is this worldwide??
