Diana was on Hit40uk today and she said she was singing an uptempo old Mariah song, but thats all she said.

Ooh good, hopefully it's something like 'Fantasy', 'Dreamlover' or 'Emotions'. I'd say 'Always Be My Baby' but I'm hoping Alex gets that still.

Maybe she's going to dance a little? But Louis was out of order last night about that  He didn't say anything about wanting any of the others dance! They all (Apart from JLS) just walk around! It's the dancers that have the choreography!

Alexandra has attempted a little bit of choreography - more than JLS, but yes, as I've said before it's pathetic when the judges describe any of it as choreography, it's usually just walking back and forth.

I am bit dismayed and annoyed to hear people say they put mute on when Daniel comes on. Don't get me wrong, Daniel is my least favourite contestant and has been so since his first audition. I hate his sob story, I dislike his song choices, I don't like his voice and I'm not even one of those who thinks 'oh but he's such a nice person'

BUT how can you justify constantly mauling him and saying he deserves to go if you aren't even listening to his performances? He has certainly improved since week one, some of his vocals are even GOOD at times, but you're not going to know that if you don't even give him a chance and listen to his performances... Ruth was one of my least favourite contestants going into the live shows.. if Id've muted her I would have lost out on my current third favourite!

Exactly -_- I feel like going for the 'Mute' button though but I just think surely this has got to get better as it can't get any worse

My predictions for Mariah Week:

Daniel: Against All Ods

Eoughan (or whatever) - When you believe

Alexandra - Without You

Diana - Honey / Fantasy

JLS - Always be my baby - acoustic

Ruth - Honey

Laura - We Belong Together

Rachel - not so sure about her tbh

You reckon anyone will do the David Cook - Always Be My Baby?

I really think that could be Diana's "uptempo, old Mariah song", but she'll do it in the David Cook way.

I reckon Austin would have had that, had he stayed. It's a very Simon thing to do, getting his acts to mimic American Idol. This could mean that no one will be doing it as the song choices seem to be planned out a few weeks in advance. (Diana kinda hinted that she was doing Blondie on the Xtra Factor show after Big Band week)

PLEASE don't let Laura murder 'We Belong Together' Her voice is too Screechy and eurgh for that song! There's no denying that she has lungs, but she's really screechy in her voice, sounds like a car skidding!

Good point, but would he have done it twice - after the Billie Jean thing? I really liked that version. So I hope someone does do it.

Also, can I just say how funny it is when Alexandra keeps "shoo-be-doop"-ing, she seems to do it all the time.

I expect so.

That's why I want Alexandra to do 'Always Be My Baby', it would kind of fit in.

LOL LMAO - couldnt have put it better myself - would love to see mariah's face if she did haha

OMG! :w00t:

Britney Spears will appear on The X Factor on November 15, Simon Cowell has confirmed.

The popstar will perform new single 'Womanizer' on the ITV talent search on her first visit to the UK since 2004.

Cowell told the News Of The World: "I'm really excited about it, because she has got her act together and the new record is terrific.

"She has come back from a very dark place and is a terrific artist."

but there are reports that this is said to be fake and she is still supposed to be performing 29th November... but if this IS true then that's the Week after This weeks show :o :w00t:

SCRAP THAT! It's fake! Leona has been confirmed for that date. and Britney is still the 29th ^_^

my choices ^_^

Daniel - Against All Odds

Eoghan - Forever

Ruth - Through The Rain

Alexandra - Vision Of Love

JLS - One Sweet Day

Laura - Fantasy

Rachel - Without You

Diana - Someday

When is Pink supposed to be on?

It said on her drummer's website that it was the 15th nov, but now i'm hearing that Leona is on then. She can't be on this weekend because shes in Germany that night, but she is in UK until then

^ I didn't even know P!nk was supposed to be on? :o

I so hope Mariah does what Will did last week and chats and helps the contestants. I doubt it like but it would be cool.

I just see this week being a $h!t week for some reason. Hardly anyone can pull off a Mariah cover well.

David Cooks Always Be My Baby =

Im guessing the song choices will be almost identical to those from American Idol earlier this year...

Diana was quite :/ this week. For a start, why is she doing a rock song in disco week? Why did she sit there whilst everyone moved around her? Also the vocal played right to her strengths with the original not all that different. A disappointing week. She may have the 'X-Factor' but sure as hell didn't show it this week.

Looking back this week was quite fûcking $h!t wasn't it? About two decent performances and then some hideous ones. Eoghan was horrifically out of tune throughout, so the ultra-positive feedback was a touch perplexing. Daniel was cruise ship, Laura was white noise, Austin was le bore. Ruth/JLS/Alexandra were the most impressive surprisingly which makes a change.

Hopefully Disco Week is dropped next year. It really doesn't work. Oh and if Disco Week was hideous then Mariah week will be nothing short of slaughter-by-poor-rendition-of-old-balld-ten-fold.

You read it here first - the official X Factor website can exclusively reveal that special guest star Mariah Carey will sing number one single Hero live on stage with the X Factor finalists tomorrow.

This historic performance will give The X Factor Finalists' version of Mariah's original 1993 hit her official seal of approval - in a spectacular way.

There is no doubt that this will become one of the real must-see moments on British TV.

Thanks to the fabulous generosity of you guys out there, Hero is still number one in the charts as Remembrance Sunday approaches.

And Mariah will add her voice in support of the single which donates all funds to the joint causes Help for Heroes and The British Legion Poppy Appeal. Both charities support injured British troops.

The pressure is on for the contestants who, as well as singing alongside Mariah in this unmissable one-off collaboration, will each choose a track from Mariah's Songbook to perform on the night.

Mariah herself will perform twice. As well as singing alongside the contestants on Hero, she will perform her newest release, the single I Stay in Love

from the X Factor site

oh and theres something on there about how Diana may not be singing this week.

She is ill
