I'd never really listened to DJ Shadow before, but I had always knew about him. Downloaded this on a whim, and I'm in love. :o Absolutely phenomonal album with some killer tracks, my favorite being the single 'Midnight In a Perfect World':

 

I - surprisingly - have never heard of them but must say I'll be looking through some of their stuff after hearing Midnight (by the way the video isn't working for me)

 

They're very soothing - kind of lounge music

I have really tried with this album but I have never got it. Much prefer what DJ Krush was doing around the same time.

I like some of it... but I agree, DJKrush was much better....

I have always liked this album, but I admit to not listening to it for years! On a related subject, I much prefer the UNKLE album.

Lonely Soul? Thats a pretty good track yeah! I prefer Rabbit In Your Headlights with Thom Yorke.

UNKLE's album is great as well, but this just edges out imo. Haunting in places, especially Building Up Steam with a Grain of Salt. :wub:

 

Too bad UNKLE and DJ Shadow both went to $h!t after their amazing debuts. ;o
