Poor anastacia! single not good or album position, shame The Satudays didnt get top 10 just missed it at 11,well done tho girls it is a brill album!

I think Anastacia did pretty well given there was no hit single as a lead off for the album.

Singles:

54 N 1 Dido Don't Believe In Love

.

Maybe the song was too dreary or ppl are just waiting for the album.

I don't know who it was, not sure if it was on here, but someone wanted to know why the Bellamy Brothers are back in the chart it is due to a TV advert for Barclaycard.

Glad to see NOSTALGIA + "the mundane lived housewife escapist fantasizing" hasn't streched far enough to bring 'HaggardoldmanZONE' ANYTHING like their original popularity ala TT. Its been embarrasingly bad enough with just "Gary and his backing dancers (+ Mark - completely pointless to existence unless you go for gender neutral girl/boy hobbits) imagine having TWO old "wholly frustrated female sexuality responsible for chart existance" boy bands back in the chart at the SAME TIME....

At least we can be thankful that 'Backstreet' boys and/or 'New Kids'(on the block) (can't remember such non-entities seperately very well) have tried and failed here at least without significant public media attention. As for 'Bros' (twins) i seem to remember they hate each other now or somthg - it will never happen even though they crave the shallow fame now they were adicted to as any of these past puppeted/slyly marketed to the fanatic female sexuality fanatsy fodder over musical substance dumb boy bands were.

Singles:

35 R 2 Michael Jackson Thriller

49 R 2 Ray Parker Jr Ghostbusters

60 R 1 Bobby Boris Pickett Monster Mash

Is this going to be an annual occurance - spookyish songs re-entering the post-Halloween chart?

I'm just wondering how long it's going to be until Christmas songs start re-entering.

And how many people downloaded Enrique's Hero thinking it was that one, and not the Mariah one, that the X Factor lot covered?

well...they managed to sell out a bigger tour than they ever had done in the 1990's and had a top 5 single with a 'token greatest hits album' track...if Take That had ever actually released Today I've Lost You or Relight My Fire (Element Remix) in 2005, I sincerely doubt either would have gone top ten in the UK...

plus they had a top 5 hits album, despite the fact that it has 90% the same tracks on it as 1999's By Request which sold 2 million copies in the UK! I'm sure a lot of the concert-goes wouldn't have bothered with the new Hits album because they already had the old one...I'm interested to see how a new studio album of theirs will do next year (they will surely do one!?!)

Well I think that's possible, but I don't know why they wouldn't be combined. Are they released by different labels? The original 1990 release WAS credited to Guru Josh Project though, at least in the UK.

Oh really? Here in Oz it was released under Guru Josh. Maybe it is the old one then?
