Another leak :heart: Freakin' amazing song clip- I Got U.

What leaks? ive only heard 'Strangers' and thats pretty good even for a rough version.

If Strangers is anything to go by then i dont see the "live feel" that she mentioned. Its okay, nothing amazing.

Confused for a second when I saw a song of same name written by Ryan Tedder and Blake Lewis but apparently its on Blakes album already so it's not related.

Wow, I love "Strangers". As already mentioned, the backing piece is just amazing. I'm not too sure on the lyrics, but that guitar works really well.

Love them both!

 

'Strangers' has a unique sound that I haven't heard before on Tedder's tracks. Might be a bit unfinished with Ryan singing the bridge or maybe it's meant to be like that? It could do with some adlibs at the end too. As it stands now, it's just a quality album track.

 

'I Got U' sounds very promising from the clip. I think I prefer the verse to the chorus (which I can't understand but has a nice melody lol.) Her low notes are gorgeous and the way she pronounces the words is amazing. Her voice is so expressive. :)

I'll agree with that. I prefer "Strangers" but "I Got U" sounds like it could be single potential.

I'm actually hoping these are all the leaks we get as I don't want anything to delay the album release.

Me neither. I want 'I Got U' to leak in full but that's it, don't want anymore songs to leak this early.

Whitney may have disappointed, but Leona (I KNOW) will not! ^_^ Strangers is good but like most everybody else I think I Got U is where it's at. LEAK PLEASE. :( I need to stop getting so excited. :(

Pretty sure both are unfinished. Ryan Tedder said they'd done "two and a half tracks" and 'Strangers' definitely sounds half-finished. I doubt he's meant to be singing the bridge and the final chorus is identical to the others and so probably will be tweaked.

Still come on though, you must be beyond excited just like me, forgive my craziness. :( :P

Loving the sound and direction this album seems to be taking. I think it will be more coherent than Spirit and have more individual personality. 'I Got U' especially sounds totally unique and even the production in 'Strangers' is not obvious Tedder so she should stand out. :)

Agreed with everything you have said here.

 

 

My thoughts:

 

'Strangers': AMAZING! f***ing LOVE IT! Love the production and love that it sounds quite different for Leona. Still a ballad that she usually does but more "current" sounding if you like :o

 

'I Got U': Again... AMAZING! Not sure whether I like it as much as 'Strangers' yet (But maybe that's coz I've heard 'Strangers' in full :heehee:) but it definately has potential. PLEASE LEAK! :(

 

This album is going to be EPIC by the sounds of these leaks. REALLY can't wait now!

I am very excited! They both sound just incredible! :D I prefer Strangers more, that's probably because it's in full though, but I Got U sounds like single potential. :)
