Here's a Twitter chat with Leona's manager Steve Martin. He confirms what we all thought; she's not expected to perform at the Grammys.

Also, IWB looks to be the last single from Spirit. Then a number of months doing the sophormore album.

Promo to commence October for new release.

I really hope they duet on this album. There voices will be great together!

Another mention from Jordin:

I really like Jordin, but I much prefer the idea of a duet between her & Justin or Timbo.

Jordin should do a collab with Jennifer Hudson though. That would kill with the right song. I think their voices would complement them more than Jordin & Leona.

Leona Lewis Thanks Clive Davis For Whirlwind Year Of Success

Leona Lewis has certainly had a whirlwind year since making her big debut at last year's Clive Davis pre-Grammy party and in the process has become a Grammy-nominated pop star. Her song "Bleeding Love" became an inescapable hit in 2008 and catapulted the singer to worldwide fame.

"Basically, we sat down and we went over all the material ... there was something about [the song] and her digging deep and the edginess of it and the strength of it," Davis explained about why they chose to record the song. "We all said, 'This is the first single.' We've had other hits coming from the album. This is a major album. This year has been so special. This is an appropriate time to celebrate that success."

Now she's up for three awards at Sunday's Grammys, and she offered a big thank you to Davis. "To have Clive Davis debut me, it's been so amazing," Lewis told MTV News at the party's rehearsals. "It was great and I think when he speaks, people listen, so to give me that opportunity is invaluable. And Clive is being celebrated [at the party]. I just can't wait."

But Lewis, about whom Davis said "music runs through her veins, her soul," is not resting on her laurels. The Brit is already hard at work prepping for her next album, and she's got some heavyweight talent onboard. "So I've just started to get in the studio. I've been in with Ryan [Tedders, who wrote 'Bleeding Love']," she said, adding, "and [i've been in with] Justin Timberlake as well, which has been great."

She admits, however, that's it all in the very early stages. "I'm writing and creating and in that real beginning process. It's really exciting. I feel lucky to be able to go in with people like Justin."

The singer, who recently recorded a version of the Snow Patrol song "Run" for the re-release of her album, Spirit, hopes to mix things up a bit on the upcoming album. "I mean, when I first started my training, I was an opera singer, and then I got into jazz and the blues. I love all types of music. I definitely wanna bring those elements into it. It's all about great songs and great music."

It's great she's in the studio with Ryan again, hopefully there can be another huge hit.

Leona Lewis: Making More "Bleeding Love" Magic

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just ask Leona Lewis.

The British songbird is teaming up once again with One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder for her next album.

Tedder, who produced and cowrote Lewis' international breakout hit, "Bleeding Love," tells me that he and Lewis recently spent a week in a recording studio together.

"We did about two and a half songs, and we already have something that everybody's extremely happy about," Tedder reveals.

He also says Lewis is writing for this album, which will probably be recorded stateside instead of in her native England. "We're going to do a lot of it in L.A.," Tedder says. "But I'm going to try to get her out to Denver for a week. We'll see if she'll do that."

It's also "very possible" the two will record a duet together, he says.

Tedder's current roster also includes Kelly Clarkson. He produced four tracks on her upcoming album, All I Ever Wanted. "I think this album is going to be as big as two albums ago," he predicts.

And Lewis isn't his only British collaboration. Tedder is behind James Morrison's next single, "Please Don't Stop the Rain." "I love James," he says. "He has a great voice."

Leona Lewis has begun working with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder on her second album.

The pair have spent time in a Los Angeles recording studio and are expected to continue in Denver.

Tedder, who penned the singer's worldwide smash 'Bleeding Love', revealed that the sessions had already proved fruitful.

"We did about two and a half songs, and we already have something that everybody's extremely happy about," he told E! News.

"We're going to do a lot of it in L.A. But I'm going to try to get her out to Denver for a week. We'll see if she'll do that."

The 'Stop And Stare' star also claimed that it is "very possible" that the pair will work together on a duet.

 Digitalspy seem to only JUST catch on

I am really glad she's working with Ryan again. Could we get a song just as big as Bleeding Love?

It's not even Leona.

That's why they're called demos. :P They will have been sent to Leona's A+R team to see if they think they would work with Leona's voice and if they think they're hits. Leona might record them or might not.

It's not even Leona.

Being quite a big fan of hers, I did realise that...

  • 4 weeks later...

She looks nice in that pic.

I'm glad she's working with people like Justin and Ryan Tedder...definately the right direction to go in.

NATURAL beauty. ;)
