November 5, 200817 yr please Leona, stay away from Justin Timberlake, you are too talnted for that :puke2: i can't wait for this album
November 5, 200817 yr Cant wait for it but does this mean FM will be the last realese from the Spirit era?
November 5, 200817 yr Author Cant wait for it but does this mean FM will be the last realese from the Spirit era? Maybe in the UK. I think worldwide will get IWB and I hope TAB as that's too good a song not to release.
November 6, 200817 yr Author Leona just said on the red carpet at the Europe Music Awards that the second album will probably be out November 2009 but she's trying to get it finished earlier. It will also be released everywhere at the same time.
November 6, 200817 yr Oh, its good to know it'll be realesead everywhere at the same time, hopefully the same for the singles. This era has been annoying with different singles being realesead in different places at different times.
December 5, 200816 yr Author ICE ONE, LEONA! COVERING a Snow Patrol song is just the tip of the iceberg for Leona Lewis who, I can reveal, is planning a full rock transformation. Everyone’s favourite talent show winner – and now Grammy nominee – is heading straight for No 1 this weekend with her version of Run. Leona worked with R&B stars Ne-Yo, 29, and Akon, 35, on her debut album Spirit but she wants to get involved with more bands like The Script on her planned follow-up. Leona told me: “I have a few tracks on this album which have a bit more of a rocky edge, so it’s kind of going in that way a little bit more. “It is going to be a live, organic feel next time around. I’m all for trying new things. “I think The Script are so talented and great guys and if they did want to write with me in the future then definitely I’d be up for it. I think they are amazing.” And she has not ruled out a collaboration with the Dublin trio. “There is nothing set in stone,” she said. “For the next album there are a few bands that I am going to be working with, hopefully, and it is kind of going in a different direction. I just want to see how it goes.” http://www.dailystar.co.uk/playlist/view/6...ne-Leona-/ Edited December 5, 200816 yr by Ethereal
December 5, 200816 yr :w00t: I hope she does perform with The Script! :w00t: By far my fave new act of 2008 so far
December 16, 200816 yr This era has been a mess regarding single releases. It's good it'll be the same worldwide. I'm hoping her sophomore is more like Alicia Keys' album "As I Am". I WANT more of a live R&B sound. I'm hoping that's the route she goes for, as opposed to edgey rock. I won't be fushed though, her voice can do wonders with any song.
December 16, 200816 yr Are you talking about the Spirit era? It hasn't been a mess, it's just it took a while to release Forgive Me.
December 16, 200816 yr Of course the era hasn't been a mess. The album's done phenomenally well globally, I get that. I'm just saying the single releases. With the potential on her album, it strikes me as odd why they'd wait so long to release Forgive Me. They could've easily released a song in between BIT and Forgive Me. I get they wanted the holiday sales for the Deluxe Spirit (and it worked magically), but there's no denying another single could've been released whether she was in the UK for much promo, or not. Look at the USA, a lot of her American fans are annoyed at only two songs being released since Spirit was released in April. I get Bleeding Love was a major hit and took time to die down on radio, and it was the same for BIT (though a much lesser case), but another single could've been pushed before waiting until Jan. Look at the amount of stars who've had hits and have released more than 2 songs in eight months.
December 16, 200816 yr Agreed with the above poster, the single realeses have been diabolical, with incredibly silly gaps between singles.
December 16, 200816 yr ^ Yup. By the time it took them to release "Forgive Me", they could have pushed - at least - another single out.
December 17, 200816 yr have to agree with the single releases! gosh that was weird! but it didn't effect the album so it's all good lol! can't wait for album 2, the direction she wants to go to sounds really cool! love the live sounding vibe
December 18, 200816 yr I was going to say ^^, For the next album, I hope she doesn't go down that awful RnB/Hip Hop-route Mariah + Whitney have gone down. She should do some power ballads (her performance alongside Jimmy Page, WOW).
