Sugababes have claimed that they will not be invited to perform on The X Factor while Cheryl Cole is a judge.

 

Band member Heidi Range, 25, insisted that the show's producers will be reluctant to provide promotional slots for the group because they are Girls Aloud's biggest chart rivals.

 

"It makes sense that if they're going to have a girlband on they'll have Girls Aloud," Range told the Daily Star. "You can't blame them, though. If one of us was on the panel we would be like: 'No, we are the only girlband'."

 

Keisha Buchanan recently decided to "set the record straight" by claiming that the group are more successful than Girls Aloud.

 

Sugababes released their latest album Catfights and Spotlights last month.

Because their other albums were Hits by the time Xfactor came and they would like to perform on there as it gives the performers who have performed on the show, a much needed boost! That's probably the only thing that can save Sugababes album now. They're just looking for an excuse now (If this is true - which by the way, I don't believe it is TBH)

Thats not really fair when the article says it was Heidi that stated this (if true). The thing is, there isn't really much opportunity for Sugababes to perform anyway, in the next few weeks they'll be performances from Mariah, Rydian, Same Difference, Britney and Leona, I think that would only leave one more space before the final (which I'm assuming Take That or Boyzone are gonna get).

 

Lets face it, with those names, are they gonna choose them are Sugababes (Same Difference and Rydian would have to have spots considering they were competing on the show last year)

 

 

Sugababes are making me laugh atm. They keep making funny little comments about GA. Well, doing this isnt going to help them sell anymore..

 

GA are deffo the more successful act at this moment in time too. Maybe Keisha should have kept quiet LOL :P

To be fair, there must be some truth in it.

I mean, it's not the first time and everytime it's about Keisha slagging GA or making jealous comments. You never read articles about any Girls Aloud doing the same about SB, or even about Heidi or Amelle doing the same, so I start to believe those articles really, Keisha should hush her gums, she's not doing any good to the band already declining reputation.

And so what? She's not even slagging them off. Of course they want Cheryl's CV to look as impressive as possible, so of course they won't be having her 'rival' girl group on to perform. It's just logic...

I don't think Cheryl has enough power to tell which act she wants on the show and which one she doesn't want to perform. She's not a producer, she's a juge, she's getting payed for it, she doesn't have a word about the guest performecs, get realistic Jark. At best she managed to sign the girls to perform on the show, and that was hard enough IMO.

The X Factor producers want impressive acts to perform on the show, not flopy acts. They don't care if Cheryl likes it or not.

The sugababes arent big enough for the xfactor, they only have the best on, so it would never happen anyway. Thats the real reason.

Oh dear. Can you hear yourselves? Sugababes not successful enough? You're being ridiculous. They're successful enough to perform on the only show which rates higher than X Factor; Strictly Come Dancing! They've had 3 triple-platinum albums and whilst their current album may be a flop (so far, and their only one), the lead single is still a Top 3 hit.

 

Whether or not X Factor would have Sugababes on, it wouldn't be down to how Catfights is doing. :/ They've had the likes of Boyz II Men, Celine Dion and others on in the past year, none of whom sold overly well, so sales aren't really an issue. You don't have to Suga-bash at every opportunity you know, to prove you are devoted GA fans. That much is already obvious...

 

And just to finish this mini-rant, Heidi doesn't even say they've been told they can't go on or anything. She just says it makes sense they'd have GA on when Cheryl is a judge. And it does make sense. So WHAT the hell is the problem?

No it doesn't make sense, Cheryl is not one Sugababe, she doesn't feel the compulsory need to slag off other girl band to feel better, like Heidi and Keisha are desperatly trying to do.

Actually few weeks back, on the Xtra Factor, Holly was talking about how big they are today and that there is no place for any other new girlband to success, and Cheryl stopped her and said that The Saturdays are a new girlband doing well and they're really good. And at the moment The Saturdays would be a bigger threat to GA that the floppy SB are, only by the reason the Saturdays music is closer to the GA than the SB music is. So it really shows Cheryl doesn't feel threatened and actually she backs and supports other girlbands whenever she can, so thinking she would stop the SB to perform on the X Factor is ridiculous, but I shouldn't be surprised that SB are trying to make believe it to their fans, they are desperatly looking for promotion, so slagging the biggest girlband of the country would ensure them some attention from the tabloids. That's really sad of the SB.

Nobody is trying to get any tabloid attention. :huh: Sugababes have PLENTY of attention all across the media, they don't need to go looking for more. Just WHY do you feel so threatened by Sugababes? Don't waste energy denying it because if you didn't you wouldn't go to such incredible efforts to slag them off constantly. Please SB fans, there is exactly the same thread in the SB forum, so stay over there if you to comment Heidi shamefull comments. I know it's hard time for you considering SB are in v. serious trouble chart wise, but it's not the fault of GA, so stop having a go at them here. :(
