January 6, 200916 yr I don't think so. I never saw one advertised at all. Forest vs Derby is on TV for the next round! :D Lucilly it's on Setanta and not ITV. I know it's not great and it's certainly no Sky/BBC but it'll do... Especially now....... Clough takes over as Derby boss http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...nty/7813858.stm
January 6, 200916 yr Author Indeed. Derby vs Forest. Earnshaw & Commons. Clough & Davies! The police must be absolutely MAD to let that be a Friday night game!! I can't wait though! :D
January 6, 200916 yr Clough wasn't even THAT good with Burton. He's been there 10 years, and they've only managed to be where they are in the BSP this season as every other team is absolute shyte. Still good luck to him, and heres hoping Burton manage to mess this season up as they don't deserve to go up.
January 7, 200916 yr "What's that? You want to show Chelsea drawing with Southend? When we've spent so much time designing the graphics and sh!t for a game we're showing a few hours earlier *anyway*?" At least with the BBC, they were able to quickly change. After all, in September 2007, they were never going to have Portsmouth v Reading as a featured match.
January 25, 200916 yr ITV don't get any better do they? Apparently, according to David Pleat, the Tottenham goalkeeper yesterday was a woman called Ann Wick.
January 25, 200916 yr Author The camera angles on the highlights were shocking, especially at Portsmouth! ONE camera which as far as I could tell was at ground level. Appalling!
January 27, 200916 yr how the funk did they get MNU from Manchester United? MNU?!?! Probably the same way that the IOC decided that the Netherlands Antilles should have "AHO".
February 4, 200916 yr 2 hours of play, plus the cozy chat in the studio, only 1 goal in the whole game in the 118 min, and guess what ITV lose the pictures and miss the goal  You couldn't make it up. Tough luck on Liverpool though :(
February 5, 200916 yr I was bloody furious that made us all miss the goal  They should have the taken away from them for that, it's like their F1 coverage. <_< Face it, ITV are absolutely terrible at sport!
February 5, 200916 yr yxsh-ImvFGs JjVFkl2ARsI And it's not often I agree with Leeds fans. But I do this time: vwwywcM_sdQ
February 5, 200916 yr Author This has actually surprised me. For me, the goal happened about 30 seconds after the ad break. Everyone I was with agreed that the few seconds of advert and blank screen were about as entertaining as anything else that had happened. Then the picture came back and within a minute he scored.

Everyone I was with agreed that the few seconds of advert and blank screen were about as entertaining as anything else that had happened. Then the picture came back and within a minute he scored. It wasn't too bad for us up in the North. But those in southern England, Wales, and Northern Ireland had the following: 1 - Action. 2 - Eon Bumper Ad (1). 3 - Black screen. 4 - Eon Bumper Ad (2). 5 - Tic Tac commercial. 6 - Car advert (the one with the song in German). 7 - Everton fans celebrating.

Yes that's what I got, waited all that time for a goal and to have it taken away like that due to incompetance realy angered me <_<
February 7, 200916 yr ITV's football "coverage" hits a new low. Their third round highlights programme was so bad I didn't bother watching the fourth round programme. That's pretty much the first time ever that I've been at home on a Saturday and chosen not to watch the football highlights. From talking to people at work, I wasn't the only one. I can only hope the FA's lawyers are looking hard at the contract to see whether they can end it in time for next season.
February 7, 200916 yr It's not the first time this has happened. I remember a few years ago they put an ad break on during the last lap of a F1 race and viewers missed the end and being a close race nobody knew who had won until the ads finished and Ralf Schumacher was on the winners podium. With football you are at usually get the full action with the ads at half-time. ITV doing F1 there are 5 minute breaks after every 6 minutes. And they had the cheek to say they had the best coverage. Thank goodness F1 is returning to BBC this year. Edited February 7, 200916 yr by Euro Music
February 7, 200916 yr Did anyone watch today's Sky Sports Soccer AM? I think this is a superb p*** take: 6YkHMEwLtYM John Barnes baton twirling
February 7, 200916 yr Author Whatever happens, this cock-up will ultimately improve football coverage. Either ITV up their game and start to provide some decent coverage or the BBC will win all the rights in the future. Either way, it should be good.
February 8, 200916 yr Did anyone watch today's Sky Sports Soccer AM? I think this is a superb p*** take: 6YkHMEwLtYM John Barnes baton twirling  "I'd like to apologise for… Max." And I'd have seen that if I hadn't had plans tomorrow (since PNE were away at Reading).
March 7, 200916 yr Apparently viewing figures for ITV's FA Cup coverage are about 30% down on the BBC's figures last season. A massive own-goal by the FA. ITV are said to be trying to renegotiate the terms of the contract. With luck, the FA will tell them where to stick it and give it back to the BBC for next season before the competition dies due to lack of interest.
