Actually I have decided to stop making comments about Britney. Better to make them next week to laugh at all the stupid cretins who thought the song would top the charts still after her management destroyed her chances by releasing the download so early...just cos of Xfactor! Her album will probably enter between no.3-5, any lower and i will be surprised :o ! Im just realistic, im not pipedreamer, im might come across as harsh to these people, but some of them really to get with it and realise that just because they bum a song so much doesnt mean it deserves to be no.1 or that enough people should like it to go to no.1.

Ok well I am not getting into the whole "let's discuss Britney's meltdown in the itunes thread even though it's in the past" debate. And I know the only reason I go on about her so much in here is because this is a MUSIC forum, and she is my favorite artist...I don't look at her like a God. And I don't discuss her unless someone else brings her up outside of the Britney forum, like now (usually trying and overwhelmingly failing to diss her). I will agree that a large percentage of her fans are gay, but I know more then several guys on this forum who like her music and are very straight...also in the real world. In fact 2 of my friends that are girls are going to the Britney Spears concert with me and three other guys that are very straight but enjoy her music are coming as well.

 

So yes they do mix.

 

Now I'm going to stop talking about this in here. If anyone would like to further discuss Britney and/or her fanbase, go to her forum.

You are right i suppose, it's cool have a lil optimism....although i am more a realist.

 

You have to also admit that there are quite a few nutty fans on here. Like someone stating early that she has a chance to been Take That to no.1 in the albums and everyone was underestimating her and how close it was gonna be! Nutjobs like this really need to be told, and for some reason I have taken it on myself, to do the telling (lord knows why :rolleyes: ). Cos if we look at the facts, Britney's highest album sales in a week was at her height in 2000 with Oop I Did It Again, which sold 89 K (see Britney fan, just not nutty) in a week (cruelly beaten by Whitney's Greatest hits after she led all week, by 1k...hurt at the time lol) and TT will sell 250k + next week, so how is it possible that they will be remotely close?? You see what I mean nutjobs! <_<

Hopefully the rest of the top 10, excluding Take That, wont be selling as much as last week then because Nickelback sold 50k which got them a #4 album. I know I'm stating the obvoius, but her chances of being #2 depend on how well The Killers and GnR hold up on their second week as the only major releases I can see next week are Britney and Take That. Both of those albums sold over 50k in one day this week so even a sharpish decline from them could see them shifting enough to beat Britney.
