Sounds like the record label is a bit desperate -- after the total flop that was Forgive Me. Even Leon Jackson did better than that much deserved flop.

I think Human could be in for a long run at #1 -- as the mainstream audience discovers it (similar to Crazy and Umbrella). It's great to see a real song capture the public's interest and not a cheesy TV creation.

In what land is #5 a total flop? How ridiculous. She actually sold more than Leon did too despite him getting to #3.

And it's not desperate at all. Her deluxe album is released on Monday and so the songs will be going on iTunes. One of the extra songs is her version of Run hence why it will be on iTunes. It's not just a special case where they're adding that one song randomly.

Exactly and to pick up on the comparison to Leon, he sold 32.4k to reach #3 and Leona sold just under 37.9k to reach #5. Different weeks, different circumstances. ;) Especially when you consider that Leona had odd promo here, the week before the single was released and now on Saturday, a week after the release. Leon, however had all the right promo at the right time and sold less and this should have been his 'Bleeding Love'.

Indeed. Leona had no promo in the week of the release for some bizarre reason. Even the week before all she had was National Lottery and GMTV. Leon had X-Factor the day before his release plus a few shows in that same week. Looking at the context, #5 is just fine. :)

This ladies and gentlemen, is the perfect example of someone talking trash, without any facts!

Excuse me, but many of us had to sit through many predictions (from the diva lovers) that Forgive Me was a sure-fire #1. So to only get to #5 for a new track is a flop. She's lucky to make the top 10. If anyone else recorded this mediocre song, they wouldn't make the top 200.

Face it, she has absolutely no performance skills, and her voice is one-dimensional. She's on a downswing and soon on her way out.

Leon Jackson is a completely different artist and was smart to choose not to record copycat pop. And thank goodness, the beautiful Don't Call This Love sounds nothing like the screechy Bleeding Love.

The entire top 12 sold enough to get to number 1 last week on almost any other week in the year. That's what you don't seem to grasp...not to mention she released soemthing very different to her usual sound so it was a single that took a risk. Sales are more important then a postion, and 38,000 in an opening week is not lack luster at all.

And your opinion on the song being mediocre is just that, an opinion. You don't know if it would have done well if someone else sang it or not so don't make silly assumptions to try and back your hasty statements.

It may be #1 on iTunes, but there's no way it'll be #1 *overall* this week - the XFF's physical sales are still too high, never mind the competition from TI/Rihanna too...

Their best chance will probably be next week.

Predictions or no predictions, #5 is not a flop by any standards IMO. One-dimensional voice? I don't even know what to say to that.

As for your last sentence, must suck to have a minority opinion. :kink:

Boyzone in the top 120 quickly! it hasn't had much airplay and the video's not out yet :o

the video is supposedly going to be 'controversial' with the first gay kiss in a boyband video according to the BBC

Its on Youtube and its already had over 13,000 views :o There's no kiss though, but it is beautifully done.

It's a brilliant video, and I don't think its controversial at all.

Stephen Gately is gay, and it would be an injustice if he was all up in a girl's face like the others.

I think possibly in the next update...Britney will move back up to 5. She is neck and neck with Hero. Alesha seems to moving up aswell. This is great!! I would rather Alesha overtake Britney than any other artist. But hope Britney does well anyway.
What do you think of it?

I love this video, very sweet and beautiful! And the song is much better than Love You Anyway and I hope it will do much better than LYA.

Why haven't they chosen Better as the comeback single?

Is this what it's all about, chart watching etc..?

Justification of personal taste through popularity?
