How is the single edit different to the album version?

Its the intro but then the back sound is also different the whole way through, its been made a bit dancier.

If you listen to one and then the other, its obvious. I just listened to the album version and it sounds weird now.

I think the destructive scenes really suite it. To me, this song is about the frustrations of a relationship. Yes, you're really in love with someone but you're just not on the right mental level with them, things aren't the perfection you crave. A couple who do not talk properly. So you end up in love but so divided. Almost lovesick I'd say. Which ultimately leads to violence and aggression and hence the breaking out of the boxes and destruction.

You could analyse the video to death tbf, and the song too.

I agree, its about the frustrations of a relationship, well put.

If the song was about two lovers and how much they loved each other, the lyrics would be different and so would the video.

I actually think when they sing "oh baby if you find, i'm not TLK, i'll buy you flowers, i'll pour you wine....", i think this is supposed to be them singing what the man would say to them as how many women buy lovers flowers?

The verses sound very heartfelt and like the girls are in love and i reckon the chorus is about the man maybe not loving them back? So the smashing glass and throwing wine at the end is saying, all this stuff you do is nice but whats the point if you dont actually love me?

I like the edginess of sarahs look. I think its cool.

It's the sort of look I'd expect from Kelly Osbourne rather than Sarah. She doesn't look bad, it's just that it's such a change to her normal image that it takes some getting used to.

Ah yeah, it makes sense now. It's quite a deep song compared to some of the stuff they've put out before.

Absolutely love the video! when it first started i wasnt sure but I love it now! really stylish

The whole thing about the song being about the problems of a relationship, I never thought about it that way until I saw the video and when they were destroying things. It all makes perfect sense though, and it really is a stunning video!

I still think they stole the idea off of the Killers AMAZING VMA performance (The boxes of Red n White squares! :heehee:)

Its AMAZING, i've watched it like 5 times!!!
I showed this video to my best friend who doesn't like them, and she said it was "nowhere near as bad as she thought it would be". Surely this is a good sign?
^^ lol yes thats good, i have a few friends like that. Their compliments are hidden in criticisms quite often :D

My mum HATES GA with a passion. Everytime their on t.v or radio she's like turn them skanks off! But, she loves The Promise and heard me playing this and said this isn't them is it? I was like yeah and she said it's not bad :o which means it's amazing :kink:

Oh, and on the video- AMAZING! Easily their best to date. Very artistic and everything just works.

Lordiii at that video. Their best ever. Song has hugely grown on me the last couple of days too. Number 1 please <3

Kim is too hot here.

:( everything about the artwork this era is just so foul

the video has grown on me slightly... i didnt need explaiing to that it's about frustrations of a relationship, i think that's a given if you listen to the lyrics

I actually really like the artwork of the OOC era, they all don't look that good on screen but in hand they are very nice!

It's in now in the main i-tunes top 120.

The song itself has actually grown a lot on me recently since the videos premier.

true, the album actually looks almost respectable in hand :P

Like Jark said, the letters in the background look like they're spelling out 'sad'. I wonder if this is intentional, given the type of song it is. I'm still not keen on the artwork for this era, the text at the bottom of the images always look too widely stretched and I'm not fond of the writing in the background of the image. It manages to look simple and busy at the same time.
I agree. I prefer the single edit to the album version. By the way, your sig is amazing Luke!
