October 28, 200816 yr If No Can Do was being released at the end of November and if they performed it at CIN, I think it would be great promotion.
October 28, 200816 yr i nthink it will help. Hopefully they don't do Girls and actually do No can do!
November 7, 200816 yr Yeah I Hope they say "Girls? Sorry, no can do!" to the programme producers! (apologies in advance for that awful cheese)
November 10, 200816 yr Author Keisha is singing with James Morrison too, doing the bits Nelly Furtado would usually do in 'Broken Strings' :heehee: Should be interesting!
November 10, 200816 yr Keisha is singing with James Morrison too, doing the bits Nelly Furtado would usually do in 'Broken Strings' Should be interesting! JUST her?! I bet the other two are miffed. I mean i know she was one of the 'founding' members but i thought we'd gotton over that about 5 years ago?! I mean Amelle's been part of the band for nearly 3 years and IMO has the best voice of the 3 current members.
November 10, 200816 yr After their devastatingly brilliant Mobo performance with Taio Cruz last month, James Morrison is the latest artist to line up to collaborate with The Babes. Keisha will be joining James this Friday on BBC’s Children In Need where they’ll be performing his new single ‘Broken Strings’. The single itself features Nelly Furtado and naturally in the name of a good cause Keisha is delighted to take the female part for this special one off performance. Tune in to BBC 1 from 7pm on Friday Nov 14 to see what it’s all about. Meanwhile to find out more about Children In Need head here, http://www.bbc.co.uk/pudsey/ and if you are in the London area mid-week head down to Oxford St where The Babes will be switching on the Christmas lights and performing on Wednesday Nov 12. http://www.bebo.com/BlogView.jsp?MemberId=...ogId=8121219413
November 10, 200816 yr Author Over-reaction much? It's a solo part she's singing, not a 3-way group part. Probably James picked her himself. And why would the others mind? The rest of GA don't mind that Cheryl is doing the X Factor for example, or that she had a part on Heartbreaker whereas they didn't... groups aren't stuck together at the hip.
November 10, 200816 yr Maybe James thought the part suited Keish the most. She wouldn't be doing it if the other girls didn't want her to
November 10, 200816 yr I dont think she'd care what the others thought of her doing it IMO! No, i kind of do get it but its the fact its a singing part and the other girls are there/available thats all. Shame about it being at 10.40pm, most people switch off by then. Still should get some interest for NCD.
November 10, 200816 yr Author I am sort of surprised he picked Keisha. Her voice is very soulful compared to Nelly's, and less poppy. But it could be great... it's a good song to begin with which helps. How ace would it be if the live edit was a b-side on the CD single or something!
November 10, 200816 yr Heidi's voice would probably sound the most like Nelly's but it's good that they're going for something different to the song with Keisha.
November 10, 200816 yr oOo I'm sure Keisha will slaughter the Nelly version haha. looking forward to it!
November 11, 200816 yr Keisha needs to realise that she's not beyonce. IMO i think she's effing up the group.
November 11, 200816 yr Who wants to bet that the papers will say they are splitting up again just because Keisha is performing with James Morrison by herself? lol I'm sure the Heidi and Amelle don't mind. They are performing No Can Do anyway.
November 11, 200816 yr Author Keisha needs to realise that she's not beyonce. IMO i think she's effing up the group.! How?! How utterly ridiculous!
