Oh no, I was hoping Britney would float around 4 again before pushing up when the physical comes out :( Im guessing she isnt getting that number 1 after all :(

 

But on the plus side, The X Factor might be in its last week as number 1 - or if not next week should be the last :) Im all for charity singles but I HATE long lasting number 1's! :P

It just goes to prove that performing on XFactor does not gurentee a high chart placing, Mariah Carey's latest (forgetable) single isn't doing to hot either! :rolleyes:

But it had the desired effect on the albums which is much more important, though imo Mariah's album doesn't deserve to benefit after such shoddy performances.

It did his album the power of good though - it rose overnight 18 places. That was just the album track getting a boost from his appearance - the single isn't due out until the 1st December so I'd say that most of his fans have pre-ordered or are waiting for the release of the single with a new 'B' side and remixes to download.

They don't feature at all in today's Top 40 update, I'm not sure if its NCQ though, so it might not enter.
