Proper BRILLIANT episode. I loved it. Cried at the end.

 

AHH SO AMAZING.

 

SO much good music played in it too, seriously. Dodos, Grouper at the end was gorgeous, the original version of Tainted Love which I've recently become obsessed with...(odd that they used it o_o)

 

Hope this keeps up. The JJ episode looks quite good.

I loved it too, glad they didn't go down the rather predictable Cook route at the end.

But it says the one I was looking for last night is "Believer" by Sandra and the Magical Orchestra who I had never heard of, such a pretty song, but not the one used in the episode.

AHH! I knew I recognized that song from SOMEWHERE. High Places are really great; I haven't listened to the album that's on that much though tbh.

Watched Naomi's episode now and it was probably the best episode we've had of this sereis since episode 1.

I'm not sure about the best, Pandora and Freddie's episodes were the best for me I think but it was yet another top showing. It made me feel more sympathy for Emily than anyone though, Naomi is a bit too cold for me and I sometimes don't feel I can empathise, though I still like her.

 

As if Cook would still be at school if he'd started an ACTUAL riot.

 

Loving the Olivia Coleman role, she's always funny - with the baby 'Who are you? No, who is it?'

 

I actually LOVE Emily.

I wasn't overly keen on the episode. Well, I thought it was OK, but it just felt to drag out to much? I've found this problem quite a lot with this series. Whether it's because i'm always out on a Thursday night and have to watch it on 4OD without the adverts i'm not sure, but the show drags out for me. But I always have preferred the drink/drugs/party side of Skins to the relationship side.

 

I kind of like Naomi. But I don't always like the coldness in her it just seems a bit odd. And her thing with Emily is most confusing too.

 

But I don't know where this series is going to? With the past 2 series there's always been something building up, but it does seem like they're building up to a PROPER Cook vs Freddie fight, but I don't really care? It's quite obvious Cook would win.

I prefer Cook over Freddie, Freddie is so... lifeless. I really like Naomi :D and I still can't get my head around Effy.

Anyway next week's episode is quite complex. Roadtrip with lots going on socially between them. It's all coming together nicely eh eh o:

By the far the best skins episode I've saw in quite some time. Last weeks was good, this weeks was better, I can't stand Effy as a character but I do hold great anticipation for next weeks and the remaining episodes in this series.

 

Real progression in bucketloads tonight. First time we've saw Cook's tough exterior scratched away a little, Jay-Jay's anger issues and first REAL moments in the spotlight, the Emily & JayJay relationship which was very sweet, Emily seemingly confronting herself over her sexuality, seeing a new side to Thomas even if that one won't go anywhere...

 

There were some =/ moments. The Freddy/Katie thing served no purpose and was generally a bit STRANGE (she has a boyfriend. That one's just gone to pot. I understand she may cheat but there was no mention of him whatsoever?) but every episode of Skins will always have some moments that are utterly baffling. T'is the nature of the show.

I watched the last two minutes with a proper big smile on my face. Cute. Emily is the best character in this.

I agree that Emily is the best character, she's so loveable, I adore her. Her and JJ's relationship was really weird/sweet too, was good to see another side of Cook too ... aka the one that isn't a complete cock.

I think Effy is really wooden ... she's so monotone and you wouldn't be able to tell if she was angry or happy :/

I think the writers have really fucked up with Effy. Trying to portray her as a really cold/callous character when she just comes across as utterly despisable.

She doesn't to me. You want to hate her but you know she's not really a knob, so you can't.

She comes across as far more of a 'knob' than Cook. Well my opinion anywayz. We differ muchly in relation to this show so it seems my dear Jark.

Effy is written to be pretty cold hearted. The nature of her parents has led her to be like that. I do think like Cook we're meant to dislike her, much in a way we were meant to dislike Tony. But the actress who plays Effy is not that good, so it's difficult whether to know whether we should actually like or dislike her because of the way she plays her.

 

Loved the episode tonight. JJ's breakdown was interesting. And much like Effy is broken by her parents i'm sure Cook's like that too. He seems to have the notion that because he was f***ed about, he can f*** people about. And wtf is up from Pandora? How can she turn from what she was at the beginning of the series into what she is now? Sluttt.
