Personally, I think for WPSIATWIN they missed an oppotunity to make a huge album in terms of overall sales. I wished they had released A Certain Romance, or Mardy Bum but at the same time I can see why they didn't, as for the Arctic Monkeys [and a lot of their fans] the first album was a very long project that they'd working on for years. And with the 2nd album i'd have solved to have seen them release Do Me A Favour! But I do wonder what they'd have done with the censorship of the song had it been sent to radio...
November 16, 200816 yr I agree they should or released something else from WPSIATWIN, although not 'A Certain Romance' because they should just remain as like the perfect album track for me, and they probably would of made it into a rubbish radio edit and runied the song. They should of released maybe 'Still Take You Home' as that's a pretty good track and different to the first two. On the second album I would of definately released '505' as the third single, a fans favourite and different to anything they've released before.
November 16, 200816 yr Author 505. :wub: The video to that would have been SUBLIME. Although for me, the radio edit would kill the song - a little like Fix You with Coldplay.
November 19, 200816 yr I agree, Do Me A Favour should have been released. One of my favourite AM songs :wub: To be honest, apart from that, they have made great choices for singles. Mardy Bum would have boosted album sales a lot I'm sure. Brianstrom was such a great choice for 1st single from FWN though! Don't think they could've chosen anything better :heart:
November 21, 200816 yr Mardy Bum should have been released from the first album then it should have been left there. I fully agree about Do Me A Favour from Favourite Worst Nightmare, such a powerful song :wub: I think they made the right choices for LSP and the project is finished with now but if they were to release anymore singles it would be Meeting Place for me, I have an idea for a very funny video for it in my head :lol:
