SNOW PATROL ANNOUNCE SECOND SINGLE

The second single to be taken from the Patrol’s new album ‘A Hundred Million Suns,’ will be the stunning ‘Crack the Shutters’. This song quickly turned into a fan favourite during the Take Back the Cities tour and will be released in the UK on 15th December.

 

The CD single will be backed by an exclusive new track ‘Cubicles’, with the limited edition 7” Vinyl featuring the cover of Elbow’s ‘One Day Like This’ recorded on Jo Whiley’s Live Lounge On Tour.

 

Note that the CD single will be availabe everywhere, but the 7”, limited to 500 copies, will only be available at HMV.

 

 

What do you think? Is it a good or bad choice of single? Do you think it will be successful? Opinions People! ^_^

I personally, LOVE it! It's a fantastic choice of single and is actually the best choice for 2nd single. ITARTMTI should be released as the LAST single from the album as it will be a magnificent era closer! I really hope it does well for them as it deserves too! Definately a highlight on the pretty good album! ^_^

Aww! I listened to it yesterday on the radio... It's great! I think it can do well on the charts, hope it does :D

 

I haven't listened to all the album (I can't find it anywhere here :angry: I've asked in many shops, will try this weekend again...), but if all the songs are like TBTC, CTS and ITARTMTI it'd be a fantastic album! I really can't wait.

It works with me. But then again youtube has this 'not available in your country' thing. Is this the official video btw? I don't think it is though. This song sounds a lot more on the pop side if you really listen to it.. Which I suppose is a good thing or maybe not

Yes it is the official vid :P It's the one circulating the music channels at the moment. A bit bleh for an official Music vid, but it's still quite a good vid ^_^ I really hope it does do well. but I'm thinking top 20 :cry: it is going up against Basshunters new one, The X Factor winner, &... WAIT FOR IT :lol: La La's Favourite :kink

Oh grief I'm not such a fan of that Leona either. Seeing that The Killers went popish for 'Human' and that turned out a success, 'Crack The Shutters' could follow in that direction, you never know. I hope it does, prefer it a million times more than 'Human', which I know you adore Jo :P CTS is guaranteed a high new entry on my chart next week after all the overplaying I've been up to lately

Yes I do love 'Human' :heart: I honestly believe CTS could very well be the new CC :o It will start slow but then hype will start to get behind it and it will be used on every show possible :lol:

A #1 debut would have been nice just like Eyes Open. With Eyes Open the lead single wasn't as good as the second single and then got #1 again after the second single. So hopefuly the same with this album, where I think Crack The Shutters could do much more better than TBTC. But December is usually a competitive month on the charts so one would never know..

So true. It is a brilliant song, possibly the next CC so hopefuly it would get that late #1 eventually. Looking at the release schedule, there isn't as much xmas competition yet at that date, exception for Sugababes and their seconds singles don't usually do as well, thank heavens.

Especially when they are as weak as their new 2nd single :( But Number one is virtually impossible for anyone other than X factor nowadays :drama But if Diana, Alex or MAYBE Ruth win, then I don't mind :heart:
