Universal has begun looking for writers to pen a third installment in the Nutty Professor franchise.

 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers have announced an open call for pitches.

 

Eddie Murphy's involvement in the project is dependent on the script and director.

 

The Nutty Professor 2: The Klumps was released in 2000 and took $160 million worldwide.

 

The first film was a remake of Jerry Lewis's 1963 sci-fi comedy of the same name.

TBH, never liked the orginal with Jerry Lewis, wasn't overly keen on the remake....Never even bothered with the sequel..... -_-

I like the Grandma and Buddy Love scene in the 2nd film. Aside from that. A hot t***** mess of a film.
