November 24, 200816 yr I don't think GWB would have even qualified had it been in the semi finals. ;P I think the Lily leaks lost their appeal after a while, just like Brandy / Katy Perry did. D: Sad. I agree, it's one of those songs that sounded instantly catchy but over time becomes annoying. In retrospect I wish I entered Ladyhawke then (but I did not having heard the album knowing there were 3 better tracks on Pip's album). Lily Allen has lost it lately due to a combination of factors: 1. She is "Katy Perry but without the talent" © Perez Hilton. Now that the world of music has Katy Perry who needs a less talented "mockney" version anymore. 2. Her new 2009 single Everyone's At It is very underwhelming. In short she is going to be this year's The Feeling. The single will probably debut in the Top 10, and the 2nd album may well debut at #1 with circa 30-50K sales, but it will probably quickly flop down the charts. 3. Her new single has a lame controversial topic, implying everyone in showbiz takes cocaine. Post the BBC "Sachsgate" scandal that is not good timing. Plus her moaning about being stopped and stripped searched at airports is laughable as a result. 4. She wants to be a judge on X-Factor. Unlike Cheryl "you made that song your own" Cole, she might actually be good at this, as she is never afraid to express her opinion on anything. However even the indie bible NME who's chief Editor (Conor McNicholas) went to the same Public School as her realizes that she is not cool anymore. In otherwords me & Grimly were right about her all along and she is this generation's Wendy James (Transvision Vamp). (Wendy James was last heard of in the early 1990s being an opinionated judge on "The Big Big Talent Show" along with a certain Keith Allen ....)
November 24, 200816 yr I thought Lily had swapped her single to something else now? she's definitely not going with Everyone's At It it could even be I Don't Know under a different title... I never gave GWB points in the first place, it came 11th in my vote (no, it really did :heehee:), good song but I do think most other Nonsuch entries have been better...I've given points to many of them anyway! great to see Maria & Mira come 4th despite getting no 12's...points from 14 countries when there were 30 great songs to choose from is very very pleasing! also very pleased that Love Song got two 12's, Smack Me got a 12 and as for Sanna...I was just very pleased she qualified for the final 30 really! Rontvia loves you all!
November 24, 200816 yr Author Everyone's At It has indeed been swapped for "The Fear" which is the final version of I Don't Know. ^_^
