SOME SIMONDLY LOVING AT 11th AND 10th. (Oooh so close to having two songs in my super awesome Top 10). Still, Verbaliscious is so LOL great, but srsly, that song is beyond catchy, as well as Industry by Modern. I don't think they're particularly AMAZING songs but catcyhness wins me over here. Shame neither could break top 10. Then come Foals who are AMAZING especially THIS SONG. :wub: Too bad they placed 26th cuz Buzzjack is INCREDIBLY NARROWMINDED. :D WOOWOOWOO. (lolz I gave it 50% of all the points it earned in BJSVI D:)

Fidelity has grown on me so much recently. Love Robyn, but i do prefer Beverley's version of that song!

Foals and modern are two amazing tracks - I'm a bit sad I never got the chance to vote modern and even sadder I didn't appreciate Hummer at the time of the contest :(

Well actually, I like the Robyn version but I don't think her voice is right for the song. But I'm biased because I was used to it being a Beverley Knight song before I heard the original. Robyn has made me a bit of a snob towards Beverley's though, I find it difficult to love a cover unless I really can't abide the original, which isn't the case here.

 

'Fidelity' is alright, I really can't listen to 'Earth Intruders' though. Bjork is a bit too wacky for me. I like "It's Oh So Quiet" (cited as her worst song :lol) and 'Joga' was alright. 'Earth Intruders' and her new one 'Naturra'(?) don't work for me. I'd like to be able to like Bjork but it's difficult. :lol:

I can't remember if I nominated it, I think it was just short if I didn't. It's one of the songs I thought sounded catchy enough for a proper listen based on the recap.

 

A lot of your list so far looks like a list of songs I liked but not enough for points. There are some exceptions as I dislike some songs on here and awarded others points.

We've now moved into epic territory pls. Pipettes are AMAZE and this song makes me insanely happy anytime I listen to. And then This Woman's Work makes me insanely sad anytime I hear it. SOSOSOSO GOOD. The fact that it did worse than acts like Gabriella Cilmi, Mutya Buena, and Booty Luv actually makes me feel sightly sick. SO BEAUTIFUL.
