I have discovered exactly 30 great songs from this countdown, and I would like to personally thank whoever sent all of these for introducing me to some fantastic music, oh and sorry to semi-copy your idea Ben :P

this countdown includes NO songs I already knew prior to them being entered to the BJSC and NO songs from the first four contests...I discovered nothing great and new in any of these

so here goes, in ten blocks of three:

30. BJSCVII (14th in semi-final 1): Kingdom Of Shadow - Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer

29. BJSCIX (21st in final): Fervorosia - Bertine Zetlitz - Fake Your Beauty

28. BJSCVI (1st in final): Quotosibb - Beverley Knight - Black Butta

so we start with last nights rejects contest winner, a song which thoroughly deserved that title, I know BJSCVII was high in standard but surely this should have made the final!?! I was powerless to make it happen as I was in the other semi-final...next up is a lovely little pop song from a Norwegian singer I believe, Bertine Zetlits...really enjoyed that one! And in 28th is one of our winners, Black Butta by Beverley Knight...now when I first saw this was being entered I thought nothing of it, but scraped up enough enthusiam to give it a point in the BJSCVI final...of course a couple of days later, I seriously regretted it and now it would be around the 8/10 mark...thank you Aaron and Quotosibb for that one!

I love it, but there are certainly better songs that I have found via this contest...not that KOS should worry, a certain Ms. Berger will be somewhere up the other end of the countdown

lol there are a lot of these charts popping up (I count two :o ) but I reckon I'll do far better in this one than the other

I was hoping that Herzebania would pop up a fair bit, but then I realised that you'd probably heard a fair few of them before I entered them. I'm not the most on the ball when it comes to picking songs!

27. BJSCXI (26th in final): Land Of Jack - Anna Abreu Vinegar

26. BJSCIX (23rd in final): Land Of Jack - Star Pilots - In The Heat Of The Night

25. BJSCVI (17th in final): Herzebania - Laura Stevenson - Down

the next group then, all flops...Land Of Jack are a country that deserve more credit really, they send similar sort of songs to FSR Rontvia but always do a lot worse with them...Anna Abreu, I expected could pull off a Margaret Berger, but instead she appealed to nobody for some reason, great pop song in my opinion. Star Pilots song was a great Swedish produced dance song which Sunblock would be proud of, very good 80's influenced song, again should have done far better. Laura Stevenson's Down was a fantastic entry from Herzebania, beautiful song which should have finished top ten really...

24. BJSCVI (24th in final): Sangria - Nox - Ébredj Fel!

23. BJSCXI (9th in final): Angelicland - Agnes Carlsson - On & On

22. BJSCX (14th in final): Sangria - Yelle - Ce Jeu

Sangria had looked set to become a force to be reckoned with after consecutive 4th place finishes from Linda Kiraly (still to come) and Tata Young (:puke:)...their first entry was the brilliant ex-Hungarian ESC participants Nox with a stunning song which nobody other than me seemed to 'get', perhaps because it was sung in a different language...always a problem in this contest. A later song of theirs from French act Yelle is also here, what a brilliant and underrated entry, again, it should have finished top ten in the BJSCX final but it generally only got support from me and 'the indie posters'...and another honorary FSR Rontvia (and would have been Herzebanian) entry from Agnes Carlsson, brilliant pop song there!

still to come:

-3 songs that never made the BJSC final

-2 songs each from 3 countries

-2 former winners

hmmmm.

Miss MB will be one winner. Katy Perry the other perhaps?

2 songs from 3 countries, Kopecka i imagine will be in there.

Nonsuch as well maybe?

Hopefully Ashton :kink: although other than RBW i don't think i have introduced anyone to something new

Tatu and Margaret Burger  :kink:

I hope!

Aww Laura :)

I feel she would have done so much better if I'd held out until the new version of "Down" came out :(

Too hasty! I should've gone with the genious of Diggy and Cussons for my first contest :D
