Yup on June 6th in London; a friend bought me my ticket thankfully so I'm glad I didn't pay. Yes it's an amazing spectacle and visually exciting but it's a sad time when that is the main highlight and not the person you're actually going to see. The production should enhance the performer like Beyoncé but for me it just felt like it was masking her. The lack of interaction with the crowd is also a big mistake on her behalf IMO.

I agree. I think that she is getting better as she goes... compare now to performances in 2007. But I enjoyed myself so I can't really complain.

Totally theres a massive improved and like Nicole PCD says its amazing she is even on stage.

 

I sounded like I didn't enjoy, which isn't the way I meant it to come across. Its really amazing and I'm still buzzing from it, I just wished she seemed a bit more like her old self up there and not a complete puppet.

How could you know those 'three partly live songs' were not re-recordings? ;)

 

Sorry but Ry is spot on. There is only so much a production can do if the main star is lacklustre. And so many people (Britney fans themselves) have acknowledged she's not putting her life into all her performances and that her dancing is no where near up to par as it used to be.

You can tell if part of the song is different to the rest of the song ;) (If that makes sense).

 

But again I would have to disagree about her dancing. (Well in a way). I agree it's not as good as it used to be back in the 'Slave' days or whatever, but during the dance breaks, and during particular parts of the songs, she gave her all, well she DID last night. I'm no tmeaning to get on at you Eth or Ry :P (I really am not :() but last night I was just in awe of HER :wub: But maybe that's just because I'm a "deluded" fan, but I know what I saw and what I heard last night and all I know is everyone who was walking out my arena gate thing, all left with smiling faces and were talking about how much they enjoyed the show. Sometimes (I'm not saying you ARE) it FEELS like people are just saying things because they can get away with it. ;) Last night, she seemed to have interacted with the crowd a few more times than what I had previously heard about.

 

But anywayz I fucking LOVED it and I will be happy to go again if I had the choice :wub:

Agreed about her crowd interaction. It was minimal but it was definitely more than what I heard others got!

I got more interaction than I expected, too. She was all COME ON LANDANNN, Y'ALL CAN DO BETTER THAN THATTTT! HOW ARE Y'ALL DOINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN? LOLZ.

 

I thought her dancing was awesome, too. And again, I'm not a 'deluded' fan ... I'd gone expecting not to see the girl from my Dream Within A Dream tour DVD, having seen YouTube videos and just heard general stuff about how she'd 'lost it'. For me, her dancing was incredibly tight, espectially in MATM, Toxic, BOMT, Do Somethin', Slave etc ... they were all $h!t hottttt :o

Got upgraded from standing to VIP staning for free, was amazing so close to the stage, Ciara was a great oppening act. The only song I didnt enjoy was Freakshow as she didn't work the side of the stage I was on too much and she didnt do too much but MATM was amazing as was radar. The atmostphere kind of sucked, like half the people around us were getting into it others were just standing there not even singing along...who does that at a concert? but still was amazing either way.

What time did you get there for deacent standing places?

Lol it was by accident tbh like we went round to like where G, H and I were being let in at around 5 because I was looking for someone to ask where the toilets were! The guy like asked to see my tickets and just said you can be upgraded and I thought I would have to pay money so I just said "can I just know where the toilets are please" and then he was like "dont you want to be upgraded to V.I.P" and then he was just sayin how I could get it for free so pretty much just that :).

Can I get upgraded? I'm like sat Level 4 and I paid the full price, and now people are paying cheaper prices to be sat near me :(

Sorry i shouldve made it clear in the post but according to Mikal they are getting deader by the date :mellow: :(

Yesterday I was really bricking it for her, coz when Ciara came on stage the arena was about half full, but as soon as she finished (coincidence? :kink:) it started to pack out. It was full bar about 3 rows at the VERY back on 2 of the Higher tiers. And to say this is like the millionth time in one place, it was a VERY good and decent turn out. (They shouldn't have done so many dates at one particular place) I suspect Manchester will be pretty much sold out, seeing as it's her first (and only ??) date there.

O2 may be upgrading me. I phoned them ;) It's only a maybe right now.

My date was packed out too ... again, not full for Ciara, but about halfway through the big apple circus, everyone arrived and I couldn't actually see a spare seat by the time the lights went down for Britney. But I was close to the front so couldn't see right to the top :kink: I expect Saturday night will be packed, aswell...
