Oh dear. They really are starting to sound bitter at the moment. Moaning about the Brits, hawking on about how much they outsell GA and how they think its unfair that GA were asked to do X Factor and they werent. Its starting to make me think of the word karma...

You ALREADY used the word karma when discussing the album's flop dear...

And bitter? Um, how? They're just saying it should be voted for by the public. Which it OBVIOUSLY SHOULD.

I agree about the public being the one's allowed to vote but i also dont think the Babes should be nominated this year, there sucsess hasnt been as big as previous years.
Sorry but to me they seem a little bitter, as if they know already that they will be missed out on the noms next year. Its all the previous things too that bring the conclusion that they are a tad bitter about the rival girlbands success and the fact their 'new sound' isnt quite as sucessful as planned.

They have never come across as bitter or jelous of Girls Aloud's success. NEVER have they said that it wasn't deserved.

This era ain't over till Island stops releasing singles. It has plenty of time to succeed. By all means come back in 6months and prattle on about how little C&S has sold. One Touch didn't peak until February 4 whole months after it's release ;)

^^ you should know by now that almost all acts put everything into their first single and the success of the album and other singles is often determined by the feeling surrounded by the first single etc.

But i dont really think this issue makes them bitter. Its kind of a good point but just to point out, the sugababes would never have won best group at last years brits, they dont have a big enough fanbase.

Yes, true.

I just have hope that it'll all turn out ok in the long run, IMO the album is too good to flop as badly as it is. But i adored Mutya's album and it endured the same fate

I don't care about them winning, i'd like them to get a nomo or two. They got nominated for best single during TIMW and that was it. I was highly annoyed, Taller had been critically acclaimed as their best album yet but didn't get a nomo as it wasn't indie enough

Nominations will do nicely, it's not all about the winning.

Really they should have got some nominations last year, it's just annoying they've noe got rid of The Best Pop category or otherwise they'd definatly get a few nods.

Whats it got to do with this album not being as big of a seller as their others have. Acts should get nominated if the product is gd, good sales or not. So they deserve a nomination as much as any act does

"they dont have a big enough fanbase"

One of the biggest acts of the last 10 years. Continious multi platinum albums. Yeah obv not a big enough fan base at all. NOT

The sugababes dont have a massive fanbase.

They have sold well previously because of popular music but compare them to acts like take that, girls aloud and westlife, their fanbase is very small.

Just because an act sells a lot of records at a certain time does not mean they have a huge fanbase forever (check all saints career)

Sugababes got a large fanbase. Not only in the UK though, also in other europe countries :)

Maybe Sugababes don't have a big fanbase in the UK but that doesn't mean that their fanbase is small, no it's big because there are fans all over the world

Quite obviously, hence the inclusion of GA, who have absolutely no market presence outside of the UK.

Considering the relatively small UK fanbase, they do bloody well.

Well yeh but like i said, i am from the uk so thats what i'm interested in. I dont really know what goes off in other countries. Ive never heard of the sugababes being bigger in other countries than their home country though. And i am talking overall by the way before someone says a single 3 years ago charted a place higher in lithuania than uk or something.

Sales wise i think the UK is the babes biggest market.

It is one of the most influential in the world, Having a #1 in the UK and the US are big deals. I am lead to believe that they are the hardest markets to crack. Granted the states is far harder than this country.

I think it's nice to know how the girls are doing in the rest of the world, it's quite nice to see a non-english speaking country loving them.
