Posted November 28, 200816 yr These are the 3 styles that dominate not only the UK, but Europe in general. Some are more popular in Northern Europe, ther others in the south, but they all seem to be the dominant chart and club genres.
November 28, 200816 yr I voted for clubland its really overrated its just the same beat mostly all the time
November 28, 200816 yr I wish you'd put bassline on here. T2, Platnum etc. I can't think of one track that isn't horrible. To be honest I love all these three styles, but I voted Electr-house as I love the CLubland sound more :)
November 28, 200816 yr The honest answer to the question is the one that gets the most hype... Because it's "what's over-rated" as opposed to what you feel is the best/worst.... I cant stand the Clubland/Euro stuff, I tend to favour Electro beats... But Electro is the one that seems to get most of the hype, so given the actual question, it's Option C innit...?
November 28, 200816 yr I also hate genre names being stolen from old genres. Electro from the 80s is awesome. It's like there's a club night in my town called Retro, and now I can't say that I'm into retro ie old school or everyone thinks I'm talking about a $h!tty house night! To be honest I love all these three styles, but I voted Electr-house as I love the CLubland sound more :) Its not really that popular, so I guess its not overrated anyway. I think I'm gonna vote for the Bob Sinclar type stuff, it seems to be the ONLY kind of dance music to even be on radio playlists these days over here. I might like quite a few of the song but its definitely overrated.
November 28, 200816 yr That's true, it's big on radio, and quite big in clubs, but not so much on the charts (in the UK at least). But then again, many of the big electro-house hits across Europe were never big here - like Get-Fars (AMAZING) Shining Star  CuQuYOazbmQ Video's trash though... Edited November 28, 200816 yr by TomKay
November 28, 200816 yr 'peace and love' I suppose, it's getting a bit boring now, Bob needs to move onto something else...
November 28, 200816 yr Bob Sinclair just keeps on flopping though  . Yves Larock's lyrics doesn't seem that cringey, well i've only heard 2 songs of his, but they're just summery. The Cascada/Cascada clones don't do that well in the charts either, but you'd never guess it as it seems to be one of the most popular genre overrall.
November 28, 200816 yr Peace and love. although you can find some good tracks but mostly after a while they get irritating.

As for Yves Larock, I guess its because he hasnt released anything else in the UK, and you dont have to put up with Say Yeah on the radio :P
November 28, 200816 yr Thing is when that genre's bad, it sucks, but when it's good it's awesome. Bob Sinclar's What A Wonderful World is AMAZING  But it flopped here :(
November 29, 200816 yr True, but that was before he was really huge. Actually I loved his first album with the original version of Gym (And) Tonic, but I forgot what it's called now...
November 29, 200816 yr Author I Feel For You was a top10 hit though. And he was already big in Europe but took a lot longer to be as huge in the UK. I guess his songs are ok, but he definitely started a trended. Yves Larock, Africanism, R.I.O, Fedo Mora, Leonid Rudenko, etc, are all making waves across Europe with his typical sound.

Bob Sinclar's What A Wonderful World is AMAZING  But it flopped here :( I used to love it briefly but after about 15 listens i hated it, like World Hold On. The video makes me feel ill for some reason  I liked both, but I Feel For You is easily his best song. Not heard that, though it was released in the UK as you said.
