I found the first 2/3 days a bit underwhelming, but I agree the last couple were just fantastic! I loved finally seeing into Brendan's mind a bit more and Cheryl and Aunt Flo were brilliant, as were Lauren and of course Mitzeee. Lauren would be a good regular character if there was a way too.

The ending was fantastic though, I've honestly never been so excited for a next episode of Hollyoaks to see what happens and what will come of everything we saw in Hollyoaks. It's really on a high at the moment, I'm even quite enjoying the teens like Maddie (in a love to hate her way), Phoebe, Callum and George who I previously was quite irritated by.

The last episode of Later was simply stunning. Quite possibly the best episode of Hollyoaks I've ever seen. The week was quite a slow burn but those final two episodes were such a glorious crescendo and I think their vision for Brendan over the past two years finally payed off big time. I don't know what was more heartbreaking - the emotion on his face when he was reliving the abuse or the tragedy of him killing his nan. He truly is a freak but you can't not empathise. Walker is similarly screwed up, to go the whole hog with Brendan just to earn his trust - and he didn't even manage to do that. Unlike Ally for example, you can see that they had a really good idea of where Walker was going and his motivations throughout have been clear. The actor is excellent too, in fact everybody was excellent last night, even the teens.

Mitzeee's goodbye scene with Lauren was really quite upsetting! She was fabulous. I hope Mitzeee finally gets one over on Mercedes now. Massive kudos to Emmett, Bronagh, Neil and Rachel. They're some of the best actors HO has ever seen.

YESSSSSSS at you loving Mitzeee more!

Emmett won best actor at the Inside Soap awards. Genuinely THRILLED for him. No other actor in soap has thrown themselves so completely into their character this year.

It would be INJUSTICE if he dosen't win best Actor at the BSA.

OMG! THAT E4 EPISODE WAS EVERYTHING!

NEXT WEEK FOR HOLLYOAKS LOOKS f***ING AWESOME.

Hollyoaks fans can look forward to explosive scenes next week as Walker's twisted revenge attempts reach shocking new heights.

Over the next few days, viewers will see that Walker (Neil Newbon) is still determined to make Brendan Brady (Emmett Scanlan) pay for what happened to his late brother - and will stop at nothing to even the score.

In a frightening showdown with his arch-enemy, Walker makes it clear that he plans to target Brendan's loved ones - leaving the frail nightclub owner with a tough and terrifying task on his hands as he battles to secure their safety.

When Brendan sees lilies on his sister Cheryl's car bonnet, he immediately recognises them as Walker's calling card and fears that the vehicle could be about to explode.

A desperate Brendan screams at Cheryl (Bronagh Waugh) to get out of the car, but when no explosion comes, it's apparent that she's not the one Walker is targeting at all…

Soon afterwards, Brendan is horrified to find Walker pointing a gun at the love of his life - Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson).

Brendan is desperate to protect his ex-lover, but in the frantic struggle that follows between him and Walker, the gun goes off and one character will be shot…

While the unlucky individual's identity is being kept firmly under wraps, we can confirm that even this shocking incident won't stop Walker in his tracks - as he soon includes Brendan's teenage son Declan (Jay Duffy) in his deadly plans.

The first Brendan hears of this is when he receives a phone call from Declan with only screams at the other end.

Walker's horrifying idea is to give Declan an overdose so Brendan gets a taste of his tragic ordeal with Cam, but viewers will have to wait and see whether Brendan can save his son in time.

With lots at stake in must-see episodes for Hollyoaks, one character won't make it through next week - but who is going to pay the ultimate price in the battle between Walker and Brendan?

Also next week, Jacqui finds out the truth about Mercedes and Nancy goes into birth early

I'm really, really looking forward to the next few weeks, it's frustrating that they have AMAZING eposides during the September-Decemeber period, I want a massive stunt from Hollyoaks though. I still think it will be Cheryl who will die next week, meaning 3 big actors/actresses have left (Lyndsey.Riley and Cheryl) BRING BACK CLAIRE DEVINE.

Apparently, it's not been confirmed but Mitzeee, Mercedes & Riley will be on a roof climaxing the storyline, it wouldn't surprise me if Mercedes jumped off, as much as I dislike Mercedes, she's a character you LOVE to HATE.

They've cast Mitzeee's sister Maxine. "Maxine is billed as a 'confident, lively and flirtatious bombshell', who lives her life on the edge and can spot an opportunity a mile off. The savvy newcomer is not afraid to take risks, and has been tipped to cause fireworks as she makes her mark on Mitzeee's turf in the village."

Played by Nikki Sanderson (Candice Stowe in Corrie). She was pretty bad in Corrie but she looks the part.

So Emma Smithwick has stepped down as series producer and apparently Byran Kirkwood and Tony Wood will oversee things. I wonder if she was pushed, there's some speculation that she hasn't actually been calling the shots for a while now which might explain the big uptake in quality recently. Exciting times nonetheless!

OMG, THAT E4 EPOSIDE MAY VERY WELL HAVE BEEN MY FAVOUIRTE HOLLYOAKS EPOSIDE IN AGES. HOLY f***!

That C4 ep was amazing! Flawlessly executed. It reminded me a bit of Danielle running into Ronnie's arms on EE. Tragic but stunning.

Totally agree, gripping throughout and it was one of those rare episodes where I genuinely couldn't wait to see what happened next. Hollyoaks have been brilliant at that recently actually; same thing happened when in a few episodes of Later as well!
Lee begged me (and Rob) to watch this tonight. I must say, I rather enjoyed it! I'd probably have enjoyed it more if I knew more about the characters and their back stories, but that ending :o

OMG I CAN'T EVEN.

Riley is too young (and sexy) to die ;_; And omg if Nancy's baby doesn't survive I swear to god I'll be in absolute FLOODS of tears.

MITZEEEE (u)

THE FINAL SCENES WERE AMAZING!

Best episode in MONTHS tonight. Darren and Nancy broke my heart. I do hope Mitzeee is freed before long, she's suffered enough. Jacqui giving Myra a bollocking was quite harsh but probably what she needed to hear. I'm fully prepared to believe Mercy is faking her meltdown to avoid a prison sentence which would, of course, be ultra fabulous.

On a lighter note, Declan topless action! Is he legal yet?

It's truly frustrating how amazing Hollyoaks could be, Declan is now 18 so yes he is legal Jark, you can begin your crushing!

I've been catching up on this week and it's ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. Seriously the best episodes for MONTHS. So good.
