Okay so Digital Spy have posted the following article. It references tabloids so take it with a pinch of salt...

Sugababes star Heidi Range has apparently blamed the group's record company for disappointing sales of their new album.

Catfights and Spotlights debuted at number eight in the album chart last month and has since dropped out of the top 40.

"The sales have been disappointing but I don't think it is a reflection on the album's quality," Range told the Daily Star Sunday. "The problem is the promotion, I don't actually think our fans know we've even got an album out."

The band's long-time rivals Girls Aloud debuted at the top of the album chart with their latest offering Out of Control earlier this month.

Keisha Buchanan added: "Of course we would have loved ours to go to number one but we still sent flowers to congratulate the girls. We're not going to lose any sleep over it and will be back in the lab soon to start again."

Whether or not you agree with Heidi about the promotion, I think they've got the right idea. They should just start recording again now. I adore Catfights with all my heart but the project is as good as dead already, no point in wasting money on attempting to revive it. If No Can Do is the final single, they have seven months to put together not only an album but also a proper plan.

That way too, people won't get sick of them. If there's a third single in March and then another new album in October, they're barely away. A break might be what the public actually need to re-connect with them.

Do you agree? Should they start over or continue pushing Catfights?

I really was quite suprised that they had a new album so soon after Change really, the Babes usually have at least a 2 year gap between studio albums. This album is amazing but there's just nothing that would have worked as a great lead single, Every Heart Broken is brilliant but if anything it's chart performance would have been worse than Girls. No Can Do will probably scrape top 15 if that and the album might re-enter the top 40 for a week or so but no morr than that really. They could realese Every Heart Broken i guess, but i doubt it will do much better than Follow Me Home did.

They should take a break now and come back in a year and a half or so with an album that will have a larger appeal.

I personally thought they needed a long break between change and the next album but a lot of fans pushed it saying there was time. It clearly didnt pull off.

So yeh, i think they should have a long break and spend lots of time on the next album so that it sounds fresh.

The miffed Sugababes are pointing the blame for poor sales of their latest album Catfights & Spotlights at their record company's door. And with their sixth album disappearing out of the charts faster than Amy Winehouse can clear a gram of coke it's no wonder.

At the launch of the new Xbox Experience, the lovely Heidi told us "The sales have been disappointing but I don't think it is a reflection on the album's quality. The problem is the promotion, I don't actually think our fans know we've even got an album out." Will girls.... they will now!

Just to show there's no jealousy over Girls Aloud's recent #1 album, Keisha added: "Of course we would have loved ours to go to number one but we still sent flowers to congratulate the girls."

"We're not going to lose any sleep over it and will be back in the lab soon to start again."

Personally, girls, we too had backed it to chart higher for longer. Better luck with the new single in December.

It was in Rehab, the gossip section. Read it on my break, i do love seeing a bit of suga during the day ^_^

I think they will end up releasing a 3rd single after No Can Do but i don't think either 2nd or 3rd will do very well unfortunatley.
Island really isn't doing a good job because if they were you would be able to pre order No Can Do on the HMV website, cause you can with the saturdays and GA next singles and they're being released after No Can Do.
Promotion? They had loads its just Girls was perhaps their $h!ttest release, and the album has no amazing singles on it, it has some good songs on it but nothing amazing, they just need to take a while off and come back with a new edgy sound and just get back some of the attitude they once had.

That probably shows more that HMV/Island don't expect No Can Do to do well. Its still not in the top 100 on itunes, its like they've just disapeared into the background

Actually Girls wasn't availible till the week before either.

They need finish to promote C & S take a break and in one year or two come back with something fresh, new and huge. I was really surprised when I noticied that we would have a new album this year, cause in March they were promoting Denial and in August Girls came to light :S

I think this album is amazing and I was truly bummed that it didn't do well. I think Girls was a fun song, but my favorite is You On A Good Day.

Would have done better with:

You On A Good Day

Hangin' On A Star

Sunday Rain (would have made a beautiful video)

Sound Of Goodbye

I think they should release No Can Do, and one more song. After that, I think they should take more than a year break recording a new album. ^_^

I think it's the choice of singles that wrong..

They shouldn't go with Girls and No Can Do, but they have to release EHB and Unbreakable Heart :)

I woudnt mind Sunday Rain either really, the video for that could surely be quite good aswell. I doubt that will ever see the light of day though.

"Girls" should NOT have been a single period, nevermind the lead single. Whoever gave the go-ahead to release that needs sacking.

At best, it should have been a teaser single.

I had many thoughts about this, but what I think is, is that the babes need to do something:

Exclusive.

Yeah that's the right word, exclusive ..

I mean with the performances, they CAN sing great but now the performance with cheography and clothes.

i still think they consider doing a one-off concert with the other original members. that would get mad people talking and interested (not to mention bring the money in). times are tough. the music isn't selling, and they're falling (off the charts) faster than paris hilton's panties. they need something to get everyone talking and interested again.

jark says that's the last thing the ladies should do, though.
