Yeah, there is a distinct lack of Nadine, but I don't even think she's the best singer. The most consistent is definately Sarah so it's nice she's got more to sing this era.

The line that makes this song is: "I know you may be disinclined." That one bit makes the whole song. Not very often you hear the word "disinclined" in a song.

Yeh i think popjustice was saying it was clever how they managed to get the word disinclined into a song.

LOL, personally i think it's good there's a lack of Nadine. Most of the other era's have had too much Nadine. Considering how well liked Cheryl is now, i think were all always going to have her featured a lot in the songs/videos etc.
Yeh there is a bit of a lack of nadine but i mean come on, she still has quite a few of the main bits on both the last 2 singles.
As much as I love this song, I really don't see it going higher than #5. Mainly because they released the album after the first single rather than after the second.

Rihanna got to no3 with disturbia after take a bow made no1 so it could still do well.

Disturbia is a different type of song though - it got lots of plays in clubs and stuff. I hope I'm proved wrong though and this goes #1. When is the physical released?

the radio edit of the promise and call the shots gets played in my regular nite club!

Another example of the absolute genius that is Pet Shop Boys - they can make any old rubbish sound tremendous (and some may argue that with Girls Aloud - they just have ;) ).

I'm a bigger fan of their other collaborations - Liza Minnelli's 'Losing My Mind' and 'So Sorry I Said' and Patsy Kensit/Eighth Wonder's sublime 'I'm Not Scared'..... and I was hoping for a more full-on pop assault with their work with Girls Aloud.

Loving Kind is pleasant, polite, pretty pop - but it's miles away from how orgasmic this collaboration should have been.

:o you must be going to naff joints like (re)Pulse or Exit too often ;) :(

top 5 on a quiet week seems to be quite popular already though so may lose steam before its proper release
I absolutely loved The promise i thought it was the best thing they had ever done :cheer: ...but this is just such a nothing song  ....unless it grows on me it could end up being the worst they have ever done [imo]
without a doubt it's one of the best singles from them. however i see it peaking too soon over the next couple of weeks. lets hope the fans will buy it because it's a radio edit. i will be :D - top 3 at best but deserves number 1

I don't think it will do as well as everyone is thinking.

I think top 5 at the most - defo can't see this being number 1
