Source: Yahoo.co.uk - Also Including reports from 'The Sun' so take it with a pinch of Salt

The Sun has now taken this preposterous story off its 'entertainment' pages (because as suspected - it was total bollocks). I think both Take That's management and X-Factor bosses are a bit miffed at this sort of thing as they've both issued denials of it (usually they ignore this sort of pants).

"Take That have denied they were ever going to appear on The X Factor final.

It had been claimed that the group, fronted by Gary Barlow, dropped out after hearing Boyzone were on the show.

But Take That's spokesperson said the band were "never confirmed" and "never scheduled" to appear on Saturday's programme. An X Factor spokesperson added: "We have always been aware that the band have other commitments."

I think all 3 guests will outshine the contestants, especially Duffy with Eoghan!

I actually feel a slight tinge of sympathy for Eoghan now. If it is true (and I stress 'if') that Cowell has now said he'd put his weight behind Alexandra then he has shamefully used the lad. I honestly thought that Cowell chose him for his final three because he had wax in his ears - but it seems he planned to use him all along. He's built him up only to pull the rug out from under him (or off his head whicher you please!)

I actually now hope Eoghan wins - to wipe the smug smile off Cowell's face ... because his plan will have backfired on him.

But it'll still be a win for Cowell... which I thought you wouldn't like?

Well he'll have that smug face whatever the result, so i'd rather him not win, as we'll have Eggnog all over the radio and music televisions until the second week of January :/

Yes ... but I've a feeling Simon actually wants another act with 'longevity' which Leona gave him (and in doing so gave Cowell a bit of credibility). If Eoghan wins ... sure - we'll hear from him for a few weeks until the new year ... but he will be quickly forgotten - and Cowell will be seen as even more ludicrous than he is now. The Frankenstein that he created (after Leona had briefly given it an air of respectability and beauty) will have returned to the ugly patched up mess that it was.

Having said all that ... as much as Alex is better than her remaining rivals (now that Diana has gone) she is no Leona Lewis and I doubt she will last too long either ... whether she wins or loses.

Take That pull out

Duffy, Beyoncé and Seal to sing with finalists

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/xfactor/a13799...f-x-factor.html

Hmm..

Duffy is cool, great to see Beyonce on there and Seal is amaze!

For me, I would have;

Alexandra & Seal

JLS & Duffy

Eoughan & Beyonce (Yeah, I know :/ ).

Placing Alexandra and Beyonce together would be the worst move anyone could make on the X-Factor. They are both on completely different levels with eachother, Beyone has the better voice, the better look, the better dance moves, she would totally be upstaged by her. And everyone will just turn around and go, "Yeah, I was watching Beyonce, didn't even realise Alex was performing with her".

JLS & Duffy would be a good combo, they could totally pull of the whole retro-vibe. Alex & Seal, both two good voices, probably singing some old wobbler's classic. And then Beyonce & Eggnog, because I couldn't think who else she could perform with.

And then Beyonce & Eggnog, because I couldn't think who else she could perform with.

I can just imagine what she'd be thnking "They made me fly over here and THAT'S what I have to perform with?!".

If this is true (which I doubt, I thought Boyzone were meant to be there?) then I definitely think it should be Alex & Seal. I know that Beyoncé is one of Alex's favourite artists and she wishes to be as big as her but a duet with her would stub out that dream before it begins imo. I guess there's a chance they could make a duet of 'Irreplaceable' work and wont result in a Mariah/Whitney Oscars performance.

JLS will team up with Rihanna on this Saturday's X Factor final, according to The Mirror.

The group will perform the star's hit single 'Umbrella' with her.

A show insider is quoted as saying: "They are thrilled to be working with Rihanna. It is a massive coup. She has an incredibly wide fanbase which is bound to help pull votes.

"The feeling is that Rihanna’s backing is the clincher.

"Even Simon Cowell has admitted they could win. He views them as an increasingly profitable asset."

Fellow finalists Alexandra Burke and Eoghan Quigg will also perform duets. Burke will team up with Westlife while Eoghan has Boyzone.

Bookies last night slashed the odds on JLS winning to 7-2.

X Factor final - duets revealed

Thu Dec 11 01:06PM by TV Editor

Details have been emerging of who will be duetting with who on Saturday night's X Factor final and it's surprises all round.

Initially it was thought that Beyonce, Seal and Duffy would be performing with the finalists but now it's been revealed that Rihanna, Westlife and Boyzone will do the honours instead.

So, who's performing with who?

Well, sadly we're to be denied the spectacle of Rihanna picking up little Eoghan in her arms and serenading him - instead the r'n'b diva will duet with JLS. The boys performed a mighty cover of her hit Umbrella on last week's show and we think this teaming could be sensational. We're not the only ones as the odds on JLS winning have been slashed.

That leaves Westlife to perform with Alexandra and Eoghan to perform with Boyzone. Zzzzz. Are we the only ones who can't muster much excitement over those pairings?

One thing is sure - Saturday looks set to be the closest final ever and we cannot wait.

The pairings won't make a big difference

Last year was a freak situation as an artist that is massively popular with teens teamed up with the eventual winner whereas the runner up teamed up with an opera singer 90% of teens will never have heard of, these 3 will cancel each other out fanbase wise

JLS doing Umbrella again just a week after they last did it? Seems unlikely...

So unfair, has Beyonce cancelled her appearance or what ?

Would have been amazing to see her duetting with Alex

Unlikely Beyonce, Take That, Seal and Duffy all cancelled, more likely journos don't know their arses from their elbows and none were ever going to appear

Ew Westlife with Alex? :/

I almost feel sorry for her ... And besides surely Louis would want his own act with one he manages?

I don't think a Westlife/JLS or Boyzone/JLS duet would work. Groups generally don't duet with groups.

None of these guests are particularly exciting. :manson: It seems we haven't heard who'll be at the final from the X Factor is because they don't know themselves and now it seems they've booked two easy acts and Rihanna. Seems like the good guests fell through.

I'm happier to see Boyzone and Rihanna than I would have been to have seen Beyonce and Seal
