March 16, 200916 yr god, Mans always looks so fake, even in that picture :heehee: thanks for uploading Peter, I still don't care that I didn't get a picture with Molly '2 Points' Sanden! I do wish you'd got a picture with Petra though!!! I wish you got one with Alcazar - but thanks for cheering :cheer:

March 16, 200916 yr 0.10 of this video = my sympathy 'woo' for Sofia :heehee: the crowd reaction in this video sounds a lot bigger than it did in the hall...it felt like there was hardly a whimper when she came on stage compared to all of the other acts, the dress rehearsal was even worse for her, she got a few sympathy claps  ybDa0uIR5as
March 16, 200916 yr LOL Poor Sofia :( I bet everyone will be so jealous when you'll be shopping :kink: including me. But i doubt some will recognize it tbh :( :heehee:
March 16, 200916 yr i am SO going next year. i will plan my entire march around it. plus i'll have real internet instead of this $h!te the aussies call broadband so will be able to watch the streams!! :w00t:
March 16, 200916 yr Mans: I really like this song, but I was against it the whole way through as it would have been an incredibly underwhelming winner...I wasn't happy that it took the jury vote by a landslide and it looked as if he'd taken the victory...the crowd were very happy with this result though...clearly they enjoy sending the same song year in, year out...He was far better on the live show than in the dress rehearsal, where he was quite substandard in parts Caroline Af Ugglas: She has such a stage presence, the crowd seemed to love her and she was quite literally on every page in Saturday's newspapers...there was supposedly some scandal that she was going to win or something!!! She was brilliant live, her live vocal was flawless and I would have been more than happy had she won, although it would have sunk at Eurovision...she was also the oddest woman I've ever seen in my life, had great interaction with the crowd and was running and jumping around the 'green room/artists seats' throughout the show...yesterday's paper was marketing her as a fashion icon, tellign readers where they could buy her boots etc...!!! she's going to be HUGE in Sweden and deservedly so. I cheered for her every single time she got a vote!!! Agnes: She looked far better in the semi than in the final where she looked like Leona, with big frizzy diva hair...the song is very good, but nowhere near as good as Release Me and she has an annoying habit of missing out words when she sings, relying on the backing singers to do the hard work for her. Neither performance that we saw was perfect, far from it in fact, she probably had the weakest vocal of the whole lot, and it wasn't a major surprise to see her do so badly, although being such a major star there, we had expected her to do a bit better! H.E.A.T: Not as bad as I thought they would be, in fact the performance was very entertaining with the pyrotechnics. Still, it wasn't something I would have voted for as it's not to my taste, but mid-table was an expected finish I think... Emilia - excellent song, Peter's favourite :P it's about my third favourite but she is great and I've loved her since Big Big World way back in 1998, and she's barely aged in those 11 years. A lively performance of an underrated song, her vocals were a bit off in the dress rehearsal but were greatly improved for the live show! Should have come higher than it did... Alcazar - No.1 in my chart so I was always going to cheer this one on! Fantastic performance and they interacted well with the crowd before the performance, waving and such, whereas many artists just came on and waited for their cue. The performance was very strong, lively and colourful and the kids in the audience loved it. It's a shame it couldn't do better than 5th... Sarah Dawn Finer - Didn't perform live in the dress rehearsal but obviously did in the live final and sounded good, even though I find the song far from incredible, it is still a solid ballad, if not as good as Empty Room was last year. She had a good gimmick with the raising platform and the song went down very well with the juries but not so well with the public. She did about as well as I'd expected and very well for a second chance song, although Caroline Af Ugglas did exceptionally well for a second chance song!!! E.M.D. - The overwhelming crowd favourite, the young-teenage girls were going absolutely mad over Danny and his friends. I love this song, very cheerful and sticks in your head and the performance was solid in both the dress rehearsal and the final. I'm glad they came top three, and it's the current No.1 single in Sweden anyway, their 4th in a row, so they must be doing something right!!! Sofia - Poor girl got almost no crowd support having got there by the international jury rather than by popular demand...I did do a sympathy woo for her after Peter pointed out that the crowd reaction was a bit underwhelming to say the least. It was one of Natalie's favourite songs but she must have been the only one in the arena who felt like this!!! Still, it was a strong performance, just not very Swedish....thing is though, had it been Greece or an Eastern country sending it, it would go straight to the top of the bookies odds and be a strong favourite. Good song, but the wrong country...at least she got some televotes though, from what I'm assuming could have been her home town (my explanation for every song that got extraordinary votes!) Molly Sanden - The star we saw the most, she always seemed to be floating around the hotel, she had a very good live vocal in both the dress rehearsal and the final, and she seemed to have a lot of crowd support, but obviously all of her fans were in the arena seeing as she came last with 2 points!!! She didn't quite deserve that, but somebody has to come last I suppose... Malena Ernman - The moment this came on, it just sounded like the winner. Fantastic song, stunning performance both times too (well three times if you count the dress rehearsal)...I'm not convinced it will come top 5 for Sweden, but it is certain to do better than Snalla Snalla could have done. It was fantastic to see two very different, non-typical schlager songs in the top 2 this year!!! Malena seemed completely shocked at her win, and Caroline was overwhelmed for her, pointing at her and jumping about on the chairs!!! Also nice to see Marija Serifovic there, shame she didn't perform though, she looked very uninterested strolling on with her hands in her pockets to read the jury votes!!! Charlotte Perrelli was a nice surprise seeing as we had a stand in performer in the dress rehearsal! Moto Boy doing her song in a slow version was all a bit 'Jeff Buckley does Hallelujah'. It was pretty good but I would have just preferred to see Charlotte do the hi NRG version. Overall though it was a stunning show, especially the final, which we were so lucky to go to, talk about being in the right place at the right time!!! The only reason we were even standing in the hotel foyer at the time when the guy came over to offer us the tickets is because Peter wanted to post on Buzzjack!!! It's a shame Maria Haukaas Storeng's performance in the local shopping mall clashed with the dress rehearsal though...Star Pilots and Lili & Susie were also in the local mall, it was just a very close community of Eurovision fans and artists!!!
March 16, 200916 yr RK? -_- whoops! That teaches me for trying to right with two windows open at the same time - sorry bbz!

Imagine if they both made the UK chart in May  Sarah Dawn Finer's song is also on iTunes! What the hell? March 18, 200916 yr stepping out of the Caroline Af Ugglas hype bubble in Sweden and looking at it properly, Snalla Snalla really would have been an awful entry for Sweden wouldn't it :heehee: as fantastic as it is, I just can't see who its audience would be and it would surely have seen Sweden missing the final for the first time since the new rules kicked in!?!
March 18, 200916 yr Yes, probably Sweden would have had DNQ if they chose Snalla Snalla :( But it'd be SO worth it! :kink:
March 18, 200916 yr What the hell? They released that crappy Russian thing, and it's higher than Alcazar? :puke2: Must download La Voix... :) Btw, forgot to add - i didn't notice at least 25% of something 'Russian' in the 'song' :/
March 18, 200916 yr Yes, probably Sweden would have had DNQ if they chose Snalla Snalla :( But it'd be SO worth it! :kink: it could have done alright if it was translated to English but it would have lost all of its charm Please Please just doesn't have the same effect -_-
