great... it makes me so proud to see "be here now" #1 with 696,000 (even though it was released on a thursday!) those are only 3days of sales.

 

I never knew that! I think that's one record that won't be broken for a long time then!

Wow!!! You are right!!! I make that 40 consecutive weeks in the top 5 :o More than 9 months :o :o :o

Wow. Even longer than i remember! It really was like spice fever then. By the time Spice was falling out the top 10, Spice up Your Life (lead from spiceworld) was coming out! :o

I seem to remember it being out on the wednesday.. but i also remember it only having 3 days to sell! :lol: i am confused. Did 350k on its 1st day didn't it Jez? 1 of those was mine :D

'Be here Now' definitely came out on a Thursday - Thursday 21st August 1997.

It sold, (UK), over 420,000 on that 1st Day alone.

 

'Viva La Vida', by Coldplay, came out on a Thursday too, in June. Wikipedia says it

came out on June 11th - but, that was a Wednesday - it must have been June 12th.

 

And some sources say that 'Dangerous', by Michael Jackson, was a Thursday

release, in 1991. But other sources say it came out on a normal Monday. Wikipedia

says 26th November 1991 - which was a Tuesday!
