I remain convinced that Simon sabotaged his own act Eoghan once he saw the awful record sales of Leon Jackson's album to ensure either a Alexandra or JLS victory.

Me too actually, I don't usually think much of the conspiracy theories but in the last few weeks he seemed to be throwing his weight behind Alexandra and last night I think he said on the Xtra Factor that the right person won. He also said to JLS that he was glad they got through to the final two on the main show, so if he thought Alex was the right winer and JLS deserved to be in the final two, what does that say about Eoghan? :lol:

Whether he deliberately sabotaged Eoghan or not, I don't know. But it was quite obvious Simon was thrilled with the result. He was infinitely more glowing about Alexandra than he was about Eoghan in that final, and he didn't seem too disappointed when Eoghan was booted off.

After Steve Brookstein and Leon Jackson, they seem to have FINALLY picked up on the fact that the housewife vote rarely converts into sales and revenue. HURRAH. Long may this continue.

There is only one round that matters in terms of % and the right person won, Alexandra was a class above everyone bar Ruth this year

On the subject of percentages, I always expected that Alex wasn't a front runner and that the public weren't behind her. She has only been a big contender since she first did 'Listen' and then on Mariah week. Most of the time she was in the bottom half or in the middle of the results. Glad she managed to win on the week that it counted though. :D

Ugh so happy Alex won, I really wanted a Ruth vs. Alex final two... but I'm just happy that someone who deserved to win actually won. Her duet with Beyonce was just amazing.

Laura White was a massive shock! And I can't believe Austin did so poorly considering his amazing voice :(

 

And the Irish Furby, wtf? :blink: The only decent performance he did was 'Imagine'. All the rest were flat and lacked any entertainment value, despite what Cowell says :rolleyes:

Alexandra and Ruth are the only ones I see being a huge success, Ruth has been signed up by Cowell and he plans to market her as our answer to Shakira and given she has massive charisma and beauty she will be a huge success I think

JLS and Diana will probably be 1 album wonders

Yeah Diana will get a deal, I remember Will Young said to Simon that if he don't sign her up that he will so she will get a deal

wow Rachel and Laura were in the top 3 at one stage, why did their popularity fade away :(:(:(:(
