Posted December 14, 200816 yr From http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/showbiz/xs...eback-plot.html Robbie's secret comeback plot By Dan Wootton, 13/12/2008 ROBBIE Williams is no Angel—he is planning to use Take That to launch his solo career again. He has secretly recorded a pop album and plans to exploit the hype from the band’s reunion to rocket it up the charts. As I first revealed last month, Robbie, 34, has been trying to win over Gary Barlow and is now considering a one-off performance with TT at their final tour gig at Wembley on July 5. He would join Gary, Mark, Howard and Jason to sing Back For Good during a sensational final encore. Fans are likely to go crazy, and he will exploit this hype by releasing his first single in two years just ONE MONTH after their tour. The full album will follow in September. The good news for Robbie fans is that his music—which he has recorded in LA over the last six months —sounds very good. The disastrous experimentation of Rudebox is gone, replaced by new pop gems that sound more like No Regrets. Last night a source close to Robbie revealed: “He has rediscovered how to write earth shatteringly good pop anthems like Angels. “He knows this is his last chance to make it big again.   “He needs the band to be successful again.   “And for Robbie, success and being Number One again are the only things that will make him happy now.” ROBBIE has already road tested his new songs on his CBMs (celeb best mates), Ant and Dec. And the cheeky Geordie pair have given the thumbs up after getting the first listen. An insider told me: “After the last couple of albums didn’t do so well    , Robbie was pretty nervous about the reaction to his new material. He didn’t want them going to the record company until he tried them on some trusted friends. Ant and Dec loved the songs. Robbie was pretty relieved.” Execs at EMI—who signed Robbie for £80million in 2002—have now also heard it and are excited. The insider added: “Getting a new Robbie album out has become our priority. It will make him or break us.”
December 14, 200816 yr Author I'm getting so feckin pissed off with this $h!te. 'His last 2 albums didn't do so well'- Would that be Intensive Care (his biggest selling album ever?) or the 'Flop' Rudebox that still easily outsold Take That's last album? Good God. He really needs Take That to be 'big again'. That must be a shock to the majority of his fans outside the UK who probably haven't even heard of Take That.   'This is his last chance to make it big again'......... Words f*ckin fail me.

December 15, 200816 yr Author Oh look. He's 'On the Up' again apparently. After being a washed up has-been yesterday? My My things certainly change quickly in the Music Industry these days  Another load of dross from The Sun- http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...icle2041317.ece Published: 16 Dec 2008 IT’S amazing what getting off the sofa can lead to. ROBBIE WILLIAMS’ stock has risen dramatically in recent months as his new album takes shape and a TAKE THAT reunion moves closer. He had slipped from his pop perch after his album Rudebox flopped in 2006. But now the record industry is queuing up to sign him once his EMI deal ends — laden with loads of dosh. A source revealed: “Rudebox was not Robbie’s greatest work and things went very quiet for him afterwards. “He went into rehab and has spent time getting his head together. “But now his next deal could be a record-breaker. “Word is getting out that his new album is sounding brilliant and the Take That reunion coverage has helped. “Live Nation would be very keen. They have recently signed MADONNA and U2 on massive deals. They could give Robbie a huge contract which would include his releases, live dates and all the extras that accompany that.” Robbie’s next release — expected in September 2009 — is the final studio album under his mega-bucks agreement with EMI. A year ago his manager, TIM CLARK, cast doubt about his future beyond that, saying: “I would be very wary about signing him to any major at the moment. He added they were considering “all options”. As long as one isn’t the sofa.
