June 16, 200619 yr I take it that they compile their charts on physical sales and don't include downloads. yeah, the Welsh and Scottish charts (plus all the regional charts which don't get published) are purely physical sales only. It's impossible to factor in downloads. In any case, the charts are compiled by ITV regions, and are used by the record labels to determine how records are selling within a particular area, to determine advertising campaign spends etc, so they are only interested in physical sales.
