They're literally everywhere, I think he did a signing at the Reading Woolworths but they obviously didn't shift as many as they were expecting to.

I reckon it'll be 80% off tomorrow and 90% in the last hour or so. That's how it was at mine, we were waiting in line and the prices halved while we were in the queue. There's hardly anything in that shop though so it's not worth going, we still had loads of CDs left on our last day but me and the vultures managed to basically clear them out.

there were quite a few cd's but not loads, nothing really worth it, the prices werent even worth it, couple of metallica albums that places liek hmv would sell for a fiver anyway were about £6

Yeah, I didn't look for long because they were still at 50% when I went and the other people were well annoying, they kept trying to move me out of their way.

Went to barry store today

Only 60% off everything

So im hoping tomorrow morning will be 80% of everything and 90% by the evening

i heard someone say 'take that dvd's for a fraction of the price and there still not selling what does that say?'

 Maybe because they hold the record for the biggest and fasting selling music DVD so everyone that wants a copy already has it!

Well at least one act has benefited from the Woolies sale - Lee Mead's flop album has zoomed back up the charts to #76 after being sold off for 50p :heehee:

Im surprised mutya buena hasnt made an appearence with her albums as all the woolworths shops ive been to across barry, cardiff, newport have lots of her album on sale at £5 and with them closing and it being discounted

Well I think she'll re-chart with something or other in the next few weeks, with celeb BB etc.
yeah there were loads of mutya albums earlier, but the fact she is on BB means she will sell loads soon anyway.

I thought she would appear too! Have seen loads of copies of her album in Woolies and due to it only being £5 in there anyway some stores were selling it off for 50p!

Lee Mead has made a huge jump to #76 on the back of the Woolies sale!

Well all woolworths stores are now officially closed

I went to my local one in barry today at 1.10pm

Everything was in plastic boxes on the floor to rummage through

I got:

The music - strength in numbers

Robin thicke - The evolution of Robin thicke

Kanye west - graduation

Out of office - Hands up (cd single)

Set of headphones

All for £1 the lot

I was one of the last customers to leave as it closed about 1.20pm as was nothing left to sell

Went in Selby store at 3pm was manic, everything 90%. Nothing much left, plenty of Portishead and awful tackly looking compliations. Lee Mead was 50p so I had to buy it lol. Although there was plenty of 60w light bulbs that people bought baskets and baskets of!

Got to the Camden Town branch about ten minutes before closing time and all CDs were 25p, there were only about 20 left in the whole store. I got Rhydian's album and a couple of singles, including 'Shine' by the Lovefreekz which came out four years ago, god knows what it was still doing there!

By the time I left they'd been reduced further to 20p and had stopped letting customers in, so a crowd was forming outside of people peering in at the last few shoppers. Oh well, was fun while it lasted!

Tis a real shame

They had the staff from the Barry store on the BBC Wales News in a pub in Barry

Had to laugh, today on my local radio they were asking people on street if they would miss woolies and this woman said "well to be honest, no i wont, its not a very nice shop is it?"

I thought, i bet thats a great comfort to the 27,000 people out of a job tday.

Did make me chuckle.

Well the public dont really care about it

To most its just another shop innit
