05. LIGHTS - Ice

04. Adele - Chasing Pavements

03. Kings of Leon - Sex On Fire

02. Alphabeat - Fascination

01. Margaret Berger - Will You Remember Me Tomorrow?

Kay so there are my top 50 songs of 2008 as based on my most played songs on iTunes. At number five we have LIGHTS who over the past couple of months has really caught my attention, not only for her phenominal good looks but also for her unique electro-pop sound which is both haunting and fascinating. I so hope she can become huge in 2009 as she has certainly brightened up the end of my 2008.

Adele was was expected to take 2008 by storm and to an extent she succeeded, 'Chasing Pavements' is a powerful and moving ballad which deservedly became the soundtrack to January. Although the album was a disappointment I do think Adele has more to give and hope she will come back with a second album even better!

Kings of Leon, woooooooooooo I really hope there sex isn't still on fire  as a long time fan of this immense band I am hugely happy to see them hit the big time and although this song may have been slightly over-played on the radio it still gets me howling along every single time. 'Sex On Fire' my third best single of the year but really so closed to the top spot.

Alphabeat, these absolutely lovable bouncy danish sweeties caught my eye at the end of 2007 and have been firmly at the top of my playlists ever since, 'Fascination' is the perfect pop song. I'm yet to meet anyone that can resist this track and that is why it is my second favorite single of 2008, here's hoping they can come back with a new record label and a second album just as strogn as the first soemtime in the future.

Ok, number one. She is an artist who I stumbled across completely by accident last year whilst searching for information on Robyn, for that I am so thankful as she has provided me with hours, days weeks, months and now years of brilliant, unique, groundbreaking music. Margaret Berger's 'Will You Remember Me Tomorrow' may have got her dropped from her Norwegian record label but it certainly helped her win thousands of fans across Europe. This song at first struck me as simply 'good' when I first heard it but when I revived it to enter into the BJSC I suddenly fell in love with it - Maybe it was because it won the competition but this two year old, unreleased single quickly became my anthem to 2008.

Some of the last album was recorded in London too - I think it's just because it's quite close to Norway and obviously has more studios and professionals to work with. Unfortunately it doesn't mean we'll get a UK release

You have that song in your chart, that phrase's from it -_- :w00t:
