'It's just the way we feel'

Alphabeat: Anders, Anders, Anders, that woman with blonde hair, Anders, and erm, Anders? This song is so 80s and happy. Shame they have been dropped by their record label :(

HA! :P The use of chart run calculation is proved unworthy :kink: Convert to sales calculation next year, before all is lost :drama:

'I was feeling lonely, feeling blue'

Easily the best song of their career, and one of the songs of the year, A&E is just sunshine, dew on grass on a summers morning and leafy glens in 3 minutes and 18 seconds of pastoral perfection.

The above track finishing so low is also further proof of the inadequacy of chart run calculation :smoke:

'The vision is the only validation'

Smooth, slick and velvety Sam Sparro had a superb hit on his hands with Black and Gold. Utterly brilliant, unlike the rest of his album.

'I got more records than the KGB'

M.I.A. is the queen of second winds as this is the first ever re-entry on my chart to get to #1 after missing out the first time rounds. MIA is always contraversial, but brilliant nonetheless.

'Why won't you release me?'

The second and highest hit for Duffy in my YE top 10, Mercy was the track that made her huge on both my chart and the official chart. She is begging for Mercy. Begging!

'If you love, won't you let me know?'

The long awaited Coldplay comeback after 3 years, Violet Hill was purely released as a download, and then given away free as a 7" single with NME. This track is just superb, and was but a taster for their new album, Viva La Vida.

Top 2 prediction:

1. Coldplay - Viva La Vida

2. Coldplay - Violet Hill

:kink:

I wonder what the Top 2 are
could the number one possibly be Viva La Vida?

'I hear Jerusalem bells a'ringing, Roman calvary choirs are singing'

Viva La Vida:

7 weeks at #1 on my chart - the longest since The Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc in 2005

Has spent at least a week at every chart position from 1-18 so far over 28 weeks

Was #1 on the official UK chart and the US Billboard Hot 100

Was given away free on i-tunes when the album was pre-ordered

Is Coldplay's biggest hit on the UK charts at 28 weeks and has outsold Yellow

Is now my favourite song of the decade so far, over taking Feel Good Inc!

The most predictable YE #1 ever?

:o Someone sneaked into Matt's computer and found it out. Trash, how did you do that?!
Seriously amazing number one, i wish it spent more weeks at my number one :o
