Obviously there are many songs which have the same title, but are totally different songs. But are there any where you like both versions from different artists?

Two of my favourite songs by different artists are of "Fox on the run"

Manfred Mann - Fox on the run

Sweet - Fox on the run (written by Sweet, not Chinn & Chapman)

I may be alone with these two but I love 'The Power Of Love', by both Jennifer Rush and Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

Jennifer Rush

Frankie Goes To Hollywood (well this version is just Holly on his own)

Huey Lewis And The News' version wasn't that bad either

The FGTH song is great, the Huey Lewis song is good but the Jennifer Rush effort is a crime against music.

As for the song by Jennifer Rush this was actually a cover of the Air Supply original which was a US hit. The difference being that the original had a slightly different title.

The title by Air Supply was You Are My Lady (The Power Of Love)

Celine Dion had her first solo Top 10 hit with the song. It peaked at #4 after 3 minor solo hit singles.

Would you believe there were 2 songs with the same title and the same artists. I think this was the only time this happened chartwise.

It happened with the Dave Clark Five.

Everybody Knows was a #37 hit in 1965 which was a just a pop song.

Everybody Knows was a #2 hit in 1967 and was a ballad. This is the song that people are more familiar with.

I think the next nearest thing to this happened in the 80s where 2 different singles titled Freedom charted.

One by Wham! and the other by George Michael who had been in Wham! when that was recorded.

The original release of OMD's Architecture and Morality had two tracks called Joan Of Arc. They were both released as singles but the second one was renamed Maid Of Orleans (The Waltz of Joan of Arc). On later releases of the album (and the live DVD released last year) it's called Maid Of Orleans (Joan of Arc).

Always:

Bon Jovi, Patsy Cline, Erasure, Air Supply, Atlantic Starr

a big fan of all of them?!?!?!
