Posted December 31, 200816 yr The auditions for Season 8 will start to be broadcast in the US on Tuesday 13 January. It will be back on ITV 2 on Thursday 15 January at 8pm. There is also a 4th judge this season. Joining Simon, Randy & Paula will be Kara DioGuardi. Kara is a Grammy-nominated songwriter who has a number of hit tracks to her name. Her songs have been recorded by award-winning artists including Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Santana and Pink. As one of the industry's most sought after songwriters and producer she will create a new dynamic across the show as she balances the sexes on the judging panel. Simon said: “She has experience, she's written hit songs, she has an opinion, she talks a lot and is well qualified.” (A female Simon Cowell) Can't wait. I love the format better than X Factor - at least the act going home all the way through the live shows is from the public vote. Edited January 9, 200916 yr by Euro Music
December 31, 200816 yr Kara has wrote and produced some BRILLIANT songs! [Esp half of Ana's 2004 album!]
December 31, 200816 yr Very glad to have this back, and I'm glad that they are commited to the ITV2 broadcast. I heard though, that there wil be less audtion footage, especially of the bad ones. I don't mind that, but I think it's going to kill off half the audience...
January 1, 200916 yr Cant wait  AI is soo good. But that whole Vote For The Worst thing is such c**p.
January 2, 200916 yr Kara is absolutely amazing. Her influence shines through on any song she's co-written or co-produced. She'll be the best judge, I'm quite sure...
January 2, 200916 yr Kara is absolutely amazing. Her influence shines through on any song she's co-written or co-produced. She'll be the best judge, I'm quite sure... She seems nice enough to. I've watched her in backstage footages/making of albums stuff, she knows what she's doing. Would be good if she impressed Simon enough that she ended up replacing Cheryl on the X-Factor... :heehee:
January 2, 200916 yr Author Would be good if she impressed Simon enough that she ended up replacing Cheryl on the X-Factor... :heehee: Replace Dannii more like
January 2, 200916 yr Replace Dannii more like Erm, no. Replace racist-pig/chavette/nob Cheryl Cole? Yes.
January 2, 200916 yr Kara has some amazing work in her background, I've no doubt she will be a wonderful judge. Love AI  They always seem more talented than their UK counterparts.
January 2, 200916 yr She isnt racist, she never has been and never was ... sorry for going off-topic.
January 18, 200916 yr I was watching the auditions beginning this weekend and i have to say i'm very impressed from what i've seen. I think there could be alot of major star quality this year so far :D
January 20, 200916 yr Anyone see the girl in the bikini? LOL @ her. What a twat. Yep not exactly good looking as much
January 21, 200916 yr Kara seems pretty nice and fits right in, from what I've seen. There's too much chatter in this now, though! I'd rather they just squeeze in as many auditions as possible rather than telling us the back story to every single person. Can't say anyone has stuck out for me, yet.
January 21, 200916 yr Author Anyone see the girl in the bikini? LOL @ her. What a twat. I thought she had a gorgeous figure  - So I guess it's down to what you like yourself
