Posted January 3, 200916 yr is kylies x sales in the u.k 459, 000? shes done 159, 000 this year and didnt she do 300, 000 last year? not bad at all. not amazing record breaking. but a nice healthy sum, considering she didnt get a number 1 single from it and the reviews were average at best. i wanted it to be 500, 000 really, but in time, when she releases her new album or something then maybe it will sell a lil more. fingers crossed

January 3, 200916 yr Worldwide sales are not known so im only really concerned about the UK. And to me the album sales are great. 4th biggest selling studio album of her career is great imo.

January 4, 200916 yr Hmm, I always thought that X could make 500k in the UK and over a million worldwide! I genuinely don't think it deserved massive sales as compared to some of her other work, it feels a litte disjointed.

January 5, 200916 yr Official UK sales of X to date are 455,579. I'm perfectly satisfied with the UK sales, worldwide sales not so much but I'll live with it.

To re-phrase, 459k is not great given the fact that it could have sold an awful lot more if the singles were better handled - Like A Drug being lead, for example. There WAS huge hype for the music though. It had been 3 years since anything was last heard from her which was her longest quiet period since the 90s, everybody was gagging for new Kylie and expectations were high(er than 2 Hearts).

In the UK Light years was not that high. About 300,000. It was BL that was about the 400,000 mark

January 7, 200916 yr I do know 1.8m is the figure touted for BL, I just don't believe it. :P 400k UK, 100k max in Oz, 150k US makes 650k. Where exactly did the apparent other 1,150,000 come from?! I'd say the true total is more like 1.3m max...
