December 31, 200915 yr Author Changes afoot at 2FM with a brand new schedule from 4th January! For chart followers this looks ominous as Larry Gogan is losing his 2 weekend shows (one of which included the chart show hour). He is now getting a new weekday programme - Monday to Friday from 3pm to 4pm. The most likely scenario is that the chart is moved to Friday afternoons. http://2fm.rte.ie/pages/newsched 37 BlackEyedPeas - I Gotta Feeling (which Larry has just referred to as the biggest seller of this year - though it has been overtaken by The Climb!
December 31, 200915 yr I'm in shock already, Poker face didnt make it? I guess it just shows that sales in Ireland have been low this past few years. I mean being beaten by Smack that? I cant believe some songs are so high already, journey and Bloodhound gang
December 31, 200915 yr Is anyone really bothered about potentially losing the chart show? I stopped listening years ago, when it was demoted to saturday morning at 10am or something like that. It's clear that 2fm have no interest in it and I have found that Larry Gogan often gets some of the most basic facts wrong - as Shaky just mentioned! If they wanted to get people interested in the charts I believe they could - make it an event like in the UK. Don't reveal the chart online two days before the chart show for god's sake!! If the chart was revealed exclusively on 2fm, I would definately listen.

It would have looked kinda silly if he had said Joe McElderry was the best seller and then announce a chart where he doesn't appear! And Larry is a hell of a lot better than those twats that Radio 1 keeps serving up!
December 31, 200915 yr How do you know Poker Face didn't make it, was it mentioned or something?? Yep he said Black Eyed Peas was the best seller of 2009 and was only song from 2009 in it (obviously they have missed off this past weeks chart otherwise The Climb would feature)

From when I used to listen to the show he even pronounced some of their artists names wrong! I could forgive it once, but week after week :( He sometimes used to play the wrong versions of songs - remember Milkshake by Kelis? And just how many times do you need to advertise that competition the 2fm used to run!! (Remeber, "Text Chart, followed by your answer to 53101", and then repeat it about three times! I know I'm ranting - sorry! But I just can't stand him. I'd have Fearne and Reggie over him anyday.

December 31, 200915 yr In a way its a nice surprise that barely any of these songs were even in the top 100 in the UK, just shows how different the buying public are in Ireland
