December 27, 200915 yr The thing is though, this isn't an official list really is it? Cause there is still one week left in the calendar year and Joe could well climb to No.1.
December 27, 200915 yr I really expected x factor finalsits to be much higher Me too! Thank god it wasn't though :D I wish Poker Face was No.1!! :(
December 27, 200915 yr Me too! Thank god it wasn't though :D I wish Poker Face was No.1!! :( really i think IGF will be the most iconic song out of this year closely followed by Poker face
December 27, 200915 yr Awww shame I missed it, i like listening to the year end chart each year but never mind, i may listen to it later tonight. The only shock is that Alexandra Burke - Hallelujah is still at #6 of the year when it was #2 last year. Has there ever been another song that has been that high for 2 years? It would be a shame if Poker Face and IGF were taken over at the last minute, though at least we kinda know that the top 3 must be close or over 30,000 sales is quite informative though (judging by the commentary on chart track). Did they mention the decade end chart at all? Shaky would you mind confirming the date and time that is on? As i really dont wanna miss it.
December 27, 200915 yr ^ Shayne Ward was 12th in '05 and 3rd in '06 So he was, i completely forgot about him!
December 27, 200915 yr Pretty sure Stan by Eminem was in the top 20 of both the 2000 and 2001 chart, Girls aloud were in both the 2002 and 2003 chart with SOTU, as was Dirrty by Christina Aguilera. I think!
December 27, 200915 yr I got the wrong song for Eminem, it was actually Lose Yourself I was thinking of. Although I was wrong about the other two! :o
December 27, 200915 yr Author Simon: It wasn't widely advertised for some reason You can listen again to the full show on the 2FM website - click on the following link and chose the "I want to listen to a recording of the show" for the Larry Gogan show http://2fm.rte.ie/previously_played All tracks except Dead & Gone were played. On New Years Eve they will be counting down the Top 40 of the decade between 4 and 7pm. I'll probably be updating it live here.....
December 27, 200915 yr Author BTW Since Sunday 6th December they have had a listen again feature! Don't know how long each ahow will stay up for though.....
December 27, 200915 yr Thanks Shaky, i did think they couldnt have advertised it very well since you usually post about the year end charts. I have just finished listening to it, thoroughly enjoyed it. The adverts were a bit annoying so at least i could skip them. I did think it was quite random they didnt play TI and how they played remixes of Kelly and Beyonce and played completely the wrong version of Jai Ho. I am thoroughly looking forward to the end of decade chart, especially since not many countries are doing it and the Irish chart is one of the favs. It will be interesting to see what songs make it....
December 28, 200915 yr Author The thing is though, this isn't an official list really is it? Cause there is still one week left in the calendar year and Joe could well climb to No.1. I guess its like many other countries in that they put together whatever the chart is when the show is broadcast. Assuming this goes up to Christmas Eve there is exactly 1 weeks sales not counted! The updated version will probably be the one posted on the chart track and irma websites in early January.
December 31, 200915 yr I think I might actually vomit. Joe is the best selling single of the year, confirmed on the Chart-Track website
