Hooray for GaGa! 2nd week at No.1!! It'll be a two horse race between her and Flo Rida next week, although I think GaGa will sneak a third week at No.1.

Well it seems not! A shock number 1 to be revealed here later.....

I won't spoil who is number 1 but I had to go google/youtube it. Very shocked.

Thrilled for The Saturdays going top 10 :cheer:

Well, we can spoil the albums chart.

Hint: Similar to UK Albums chart on Sunday, except swapped around.

Chart Track Commentary

Charity Campaign Conquers Chart

There’s a brand new entry at No1 on this week’s Singles Chart for Julie-Anne Dineen with ‘Do You Believe’. Cancer survivor Julie-Ann released the CD as a fundraiser for the Limerick Breast Cancer Unit in Dooradoyle, having recorded the song while undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

Flo Rida & Ke$ha take a second week at No2 with ‘Right Round’, ahead of last week’s No1 - Lady Gaga’s ‘Poker Face’ down to No3 after two weeks on top. In a good week for charity releases, The Saturdays climb from No17 to No9 with ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’. This is one of two official 2009 Comic Relief singles, although the second (‘Islands In the Stream’) has yet to make an impact on the Chart.

U2 take a second week at the top of the Album Chart with ‘No Line On The Horizon’, heading a Top3 unchanged from last week (Lady Gaga at No2 and Bell X1 at No3). There are, however, three new entries in this week’s Top 10: Kelly Clarkson at No4 with ‘All I Ever Wanted’, ‘The Annie Lennox Collection’ at No5 and Taylor Swift’s ‘Fearless’ at No9. Following his Dublin O2 concerts, Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli has a re-entry at No11 for ‘Incanto’ – a new chart peak for the album which debuted at No17 on release last November.

Shaky Fan's Commentary

Well a slight surprise at the top of the singles chart. Julie-Anne Dineen is from Limerick and all proceeds from Do You Believe will go to cancer charities in the city. The track is available to buy in the UK via http://www.textatrack.co.uk/julieannedineen - this sends a link to your mobile to allow you download the song straight to the phone and you can also download a copy to your PC. You can also pay by credit/debit card via the link. Cost is £1.00. Like U2 a couple of weeks ago the physical single has done most of the work in the singles success given that it hasn't made the Top 20 Download chart.

The Saturdays manage their first Irish Top 10 single with Just Can't Get Enough - no doubt helped by the fact that they performed it during last weekend's edition of The All-Ireland Talent Show - the Irish version of Britain's Got Talent.

The Jouney continues for Don't Stop Believin' - its back into the Top 50 again.

And finally a rather bizzarre run for Prodigy's current single - Omen - which after entering the chart at 28 has spent 3 weeks at 37.

Number 1 this week

Single: Julie-Anne Dineen - Do You Believe (1st week)

Download: Flo rida ft Ke$ha - Right Round (1st week)

Artist Album: U2 - No Line On The Horizon (2nd week)

Compilation Album: OST - Slumdog Millionaire (3rd week)

Julie-Ann who??? I want Poker Face back on top!! There's a chance it could go back to No.1 when it has a physical release in April, but I'd say it'll be too late! Much in the style of Leanne Moore last Summer, I expect 'Do You Believe' to crash dramatically next week. And I can't believe Jason Mraz has only now reached the top ten - in March! I first heard this last September! And I can't believe how it has struggled in the Irish and UK charts so much when it has been a huge hit everywhere else, although I think it may be due to the fact that it's kind of a summer song and was released at the wrong time of year.

Not much else going on in the charts this week, and no big new entries expected to come in next week either, although we can expect to see Halo surge towards the top 5 and Beautiful challenge for a top ten space too.

Are the Pet Shop Boys likely to chart in Ireland?

There is a big push to keep it at no 1 for Mothers Day which is next Sunday. From what Larry Gogan said on the chart show this afternoon it sounds like most of the physical singles were available around Limerick and that further copies are now being distributed to the rest of the country.

Oh no!!

When is the chart show on by the way?

Until we wait for Shaky Fan to post the full chart, here's the top ten:

1 (2) Flo Rida ft. Ke$ha > Right Round

2 (3) Lady GaGa > Poker Face

3 (1) Julie-Anne Dinneen > Do You Believe

4 (4) Kelly Clarkson > My Life Would Suck Without You

5 (6) Taylor Swift > Love Story

6 (9) The Saturdays > Just Can't Get Enough

7 (5) T.I & Justin Timberlake > Dead And Gone

8 (15) Beyoncé > Halo

9 (8) Lady GaGa ft. Colby O' Donis > Just Dance

10 (7) Bell X1 > The Great Defector

'Love Etc' is at No.40 this week.

Cool :) Do you know if the physical CD is available in the shops in Ireland?

Great for Gaga too :w00t:

Yes it is. All CD singles are released in Ireland the same week as the UK, give or take two days. But to be honest, physical singles don't count for much on the Irish charts any more and a lot of shops don't even bother with CD singles.

Flo Rida back at 1.

Same will happen on Sunday in UK. :D

And Poker Face will be No.2, although I'd much prefer Poker Face to be No.1.

Wow well done The Saturdays :cheer:

Very pleased The Fame #1 album too!

I know! It's a class album!! I hate her though. :(
