The dialogue in this is on FIRE tonight!

"You're ODD. Nice odd, but still... ODD."

"What about that new knocking shop? Recon you could find a job there?"

"They could NEVER afford me."

FAB-ulous.

I like the relationship between Musood (sp?) and Denise, I think it's funny/interesting to watch.
Aww Dotty is wonderful!

Tanya trying to bury Max alive was the best thing I have ever seen on a Soap LOL.

All future opinions expressed by yourself shall be NULL and VOID.

Anyway, I have to echo the wise words of Jark and Josh. Tonight was great in a low-key way. The Janine/Peggy exchange was a true ROFL moment, and the Mitchell sisters are muchly growing on me as characters. I'm even looking forward sort of the Danielle/Ronnie reveal whenever it happens.

And Denise/Zainab is a FABULOUS pairing. I like the writers have managed to build a relatively believable friendship, whilst also retaining the bitchfight aspect from their post office days.

I think you mean Xainab! Masood is her husband's name.

 Woops. :P

What a strange way to spell a name though, Xainab.

I hope they get the Danielle+Roxy storyline finished quickly though, or for Danielle to tell her within at least a month to come.

Little Dotty is EVIL :o

LOL

She's plotting to take over the world by filling our screens with obnoxious child acting, cheesy grins, a poor Cockney accent and a 1940s fashion sense? GOOD PLAN.
Really not interested in Denise and that Lucas bloke..

New character alert!

Comic Josie Lawrence joins 'EastEnders'

Comedienne Josie Lawrence has joined the cast of EastEnders as an old flame of Phil Mitchell.

Lawrence, 49, who is best known for her appearances on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, will play Manda Best, Phil's childhood sweetheart.

Best returns to Albert Square following the collapse of her marriage and her son's departure for university. Her character quickly begins a relationship with Minty (Cliff Parisi), but it is clear that she still has affections for Phil (Steve McFadden).

An Albert Square source told DS: "Manda returns to her roots in Walford for a specific storyline with Minty and Phil."

They added: "Beyond that, though, there are plenty of potential storyline opportunities for her to able to stick around."

Lawrence told The Sun: "I'm so excited. Everyone at EastEnders has made me feel so at home. It's mind-boggling to walk into Albert Square after having watched the show for so many years! I can't wait to see how my character develops on screen."

The soap's executive producer Diederick Santer commented: "I'm so excited Josie’s joining us. I've enjoyed her brilliant comic performances for over 20 years, and can't wait to see her in Walford."

Lawrence's first scenes will air in March.

'Enders bosses cast mystery character

EastEnders' Chelsea Fox will finally have a smile on her face in February when a tall, dark and handsome stranger appears in Walford.

Theo Kelly - played by 25-year-old Rolan Bell - arrives in Albert Square at the end of the month in search of Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker). However, his combination of good looks and impeccable manners immediately grabs the attention of Chelsea (Tiana Benjamin).

Looks can be deceiving, however, as there's more to Theo than meets the eye.

A Walford source told DS: "The first person he asks after is Patrick and he's soon on his mobile confirming the shopkeeper's identity. Just what is he after? And will he fall head over heels for the stunner?"

Speaking of his role, Bell said: "As a lifelong fan of EastEnders it's amazing to be part of the show - everyone has been so welcoming on set. Working with actors such as Rudolph Walker has been a dream come true and I can't wait to see how my character develops on screen."

He has previously appeared as a character called Lester Clarke in BBC One's daytime medical drama Doctors in an episode called 'Skin Deep' back in 2006 and has performed in stage in productions including The Harder They Come.

All from Digital Spy. Interesting that they're giving Minty a storyline for the first time in a while, and it looks like the Foxes are well and truly back in the limelight again.

Oh, and a spoiler about Janine this month:

She gets a job at R&R and begins some love/hate cat/mouse type relationship with Jack.

Good news in that it looks like these newbies are going to be used to push forward currently forgotten characters. Minty, Patrick and Chelsea have been very quiet the past year, so good to hear they'll be getting some action rather than simply playing background parts to the Branning and Mitchell show.
Unfortunately Jean , Stacey's mother is getting on my wick lately, I wish they write the character out
Jean is the best thing in there (best actor in the Soaps at the moment to :o )

Yep, sorry Mikey, you're talking baloney.

She's a mentally ill woman, who has just lost a grandkid, and whose son has gone missing. She's hardly just going to hang around in the background quietly with a nice grin on her face.

Lauren is also fourteen!

i know..... but she looks about 12, jay driving a car?... possible.... lauren? NO WAY.

i agree :)

........ and makes frighteningly boooorrrriiing tv...

but on the plus side, shes still funnier then that godamn awfull 'comedy' the life of riley which is less funny then grange hill!

I've begun watching that. Only because I'm a shameless Caroline Quention fanboy...

Jean does not make boring TV. I thought it was you who wanted reality in this show? She's as realistic as anything ever will be on EE. GOD knows how they found somebody who was so convincing an actress...
