Want to know who Ryan is?

http://images.digitalspy.co.uk/09/28/550w_eastenders_ryan_whitney.jpg

Ryan is....

Whitney's half-brother. So what do we know about Ryan? Well, he's nine years older than Whitney and they both have the same mother in Debra Dean (Ruth Gemmell). Surprisingly for soap, Ryan has "something of a dark past" and when Whitney starts asking questions about his life, Ryan immediately clams up. He's a closed, moody character and quick-witted kind of a guy, but certainly won't back away from potential trouble.

Ryan has an eye for the ladies, too. Anyone in particular, I hear you cry? Well, Ronnie Mitchell's (Samantha Womack) on the top of his proverbial 'to do' list...

im not in any way excited about daniella westbrook retrunning i would be very excited had it been Kim Metcalf who in my opinion was a million times better as sam

AWFUL news from DS:

EastEnders actress Jo Joyner has announced that she is expecting twins with her husband Neil Madden. The 31-year-old, who plays salon owner Tanya Branning, is to be written out of the show towards the end of the year and storyliners are currently paving the way for her screen departure.

Last night, Joyner said she that and her husband Madden are "absolutely delighted" with the news that they are to become parents for the first time. An EastEnders source told The Mirror: "Everyone is thrilled for Jo. Because it's twins, she's already got a bit of a bump so viewers can expect lots of big bags and cushions in her scenes over the coming months.

Sounds like she's leaving for good! :( She's probably the best Eastenders character! And what the hell will happen with Max and the kids? This is gonna be difficult because Tanya would never leave the kids for ANY reason (unless she died)...

$h!t I hope this is not a permanent exit.

Having watched the next couple of weeks I even said on Twitter how Jo was amazing in her scenes. I cant bear the thought of her leaving :(

8 months apparently :heehee: I can live with that, but it'll still be interesting to see how they explain it...

Very given whats happening over the coming weeks.

It's going to be very strange indeed that she suddenly has to vanish lol.

Max and Tan  They're so cute when they're in the mood, like horny teenagers :heehee:

Ya max and tanya do come accross as very lovey dovey when things are good and they have brilliant on screen chemistry so im glad they are united again my only worry is now that Tanya is pregnant in real life and will be going on maternity leave i just hope they dont split them up again but i have a feeling whether they do or not max will cheat while she is away!

It will be hard for them to explain her absense

Her character has been wrecked over the last year, stagnation to the extreme. I could never imagine living in such a quagmire of quandary for so long. She's become self-parody almost. Perhaps the break will refresh her character a bit.

Oh and D: @ how this Syed/Christian storyline is going, poor acting and a clichéd script. It's just :/

ya very predictable ending tonight, not enjoying the syed and christian stuff its boring, however roxy tonight was a right cold cow with ronnie its awful what she is doing and in a way i feel its very out of charactor.
great chemistry again between mx and tanya tonight they come accroess as sich a reak couple, i loved jean tonight im looking forward to her part in staceys storyline,
Mayor of London Boris Johnson is to make a small cameo appearance in BBC One's flagship soap EastEnders.

The 45-year-old - who assumed the mayoral office on May 4, 2008 - filmed a short scene with the show's matriarch Barbara Windsor on Friday for an episode to air in a few months' time.

When The Queen Vic's landlady Peggy Mitchell (Windsor) discovers that the Mayor is paying a visit to Walford, she spends an entire morning searching for him. However, she's frustrated when she returns home having failed in her mission.

She goes on to rant to the locals about what she'd say to him if they ever came face-to-face but she's taken aback when he wanders into the pub unannounced. Captivated by his presence, Peggy turns on the charm and begins flirting.

A recent storyline saw Peggy run as an independent candidate for the local council elections. However, she pulled out of the race for office when her husband Archie (Larry Lamb) piled on the pressure for her to stand down ahead of their wedding.

Speaking of his cameo, Johnson said: "EastEnders is a true London icon and I was delighted to highlight to its huge audience the part the mayoralty plays in the city's rich tapestry."

He added: "It was, of course, a tremendous honour to step inside that most venerable of London landmarks, The Queen Vic, and share a scene with another of the capital's icons, the fabulous Barbara Windsor."

Of Johnson's cameo, executive producer Diederick Santer commented: "EastEnders has always had a good relationship with the Mayor's office, and we are delighted that Boris Johnson is coming to spend some time with us. EastEnders does its best to reflect contemporary London, and we hope that meeting the Mayor will help us stay ahead with the latest London stories, policies and developments."

He continued: "We couldn't let the visit pass without the Mayor entering London's most famous pub, The Queen Vic, and meeting its formidable and politically-active landlady Peggy Mitchell."

Johnson's scene will air in the autumn.

Last night's episode was really good. Funniest moment was when Debra said "how does someone like me have such a kind daughter as you" or something like that, then Whitney said "it was an accident wasn't it?"

I rofled fo9r a while :D

MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT!

Location Pics: 'EastEnders' film shock funeral

The cast and crew of EastEnders were out on location today filming for a shock funeral. Avert your eyes here if you don't want to be spoiled...

Yes, the Fox family - Denise (Diane Parish), Lucas (Don Gilet) and Chelsea (Tiana Benjamin) - were shooting in a graveyard for the funeral of Trina, Lucas's ex-wife played by Sharon Duncan-Brewster.

Yep, in a shock twist, it looks like Trina meets her maker and I'm told that she's "seriously killed". I'm not quite sure how you can be mildly killed, but still...

I've also heard that there are a number of suspects in the frame for her death. So are we looking at murder? An accident? Suicide?

What's more, why on earth is Stacey (Lacey Turner) at the funeral? And more to the point, why is she climbing in the grave?
