Daniella Westbrook has got a face like a bulldog licking the pee off a nettle. She's supposed to be Babs Windsor's daughter ... she looks like her slightly younger sister. Her mouth is on upside down! And I bet if the camera is placed right ... we'd see she still only has one nostril!

I like the new opening and the them is now a mixture of the previous and origianl theme,i forgot tonight was its debut until it came on.

New titles/cfredits looked great on TV.

Hmm... I'm kind of liking Sam Mitchell being back on the square. I totally think that Daniella Westbrook gives Sam the Mitchell name, Kim Medcalf did brilliantly in the role, but like Ronnie she seemed to be more outcasted of the Mitchells as she isn't like the rest. (I love Ronnie don't get me wrong) I do think that they've made Sam appear more of a ditsy blonde now though, when she ran away she did every order Phil and Peggy gave her, she did anything to keep her head down and escape, but now that she's back she seems so rebellious to do so and she keeps doinng things to give herself away, and now she faces even worser charges than when she left so it doesn't make sense.

 

I do however love that they've mentioned a lot of things that happened surrounding the Den Watts murder, though I do feel it is clear that it's just to help jog peoples memories. Charlie Slater being off with her in the pub and Sam saying something briefly about Zoe and Peggy warning Sam to keep her distance when Tracy (who Sam attacked and locked in the bathroom) returns to work on Saturday. I'd loved to have seen a Tracy/Sam "What are you doing here?" instead though, I love Tracy.

Whilst I prefer Kim to Daniella, i've grown fond of her already and am enjoying Sam at the moment.

 

Also, 'It's like a Gary Glitter COMEBACK GIG in here' now stands as the best line in Eastenders HISTORY.

Okay, so Daniella isn't so bad after all. She has a certain... charm (I'm not saying I want to 'do a Jay' and peek at her underwear). The trailer did her no justice at all.

Hit by a truck? That's a little harsh, and anyway a while back Daniella Westbrook did suffer severe facial injuries including her eye being dislocated after a car (going at 80Mph) crashed which flung her through the windscreen and in all fairness to Daniella Westbrook despite this, she looks like a REAL 35 year old, Kim Medcalf looked much younger than her playing age so it was inevitable in comparison Westbrook would look older. I think it's just because I'm used to Kim as Sam because she was most recent, but already I'm warming to Daniella, I just wish she wasn't so "stupid" and her wardrobe wasn't so chavvy. I hope her wardrobe mellows and her orange tan fades quickly.

I think most people will get used to Daniella after a while, its just a bit weird at the minute.

I'm delighted they are actually mentioning things that happened with Kim's Sam, like the stuff with Tracy :heehee:

 

Can't wait until Tracy sees her again!
