I hope we hear news of her death soon. I hope it's dramatic but it will probably be a sudoku induced heart-attack :(

I thought tonight's episode was quite brilliant. Fast-paced and some terrific acting from Samantha Womack and Larry Lamb. Their row was very believable.

 

I'm also weirdly hooked on this Ricky/Bianca storyline. I'd like to see them back together, despite the predictability of the fact that they would be paired up again. Biance is just a brilliant character. Entirely ridiculous, sometimes verging on a parody, gobby as they come but impossible to hate. In her own down market way she's kind of charming. Ricky is SO sweet (read: wet).

I would love for Ricky and Bianca to get back together too.

But, I read that Bianca will reliase she loves Ricky, then goes to tell him but then Sam Mitchell comes.

Tonight's episode seemed quite random and dull. :mellow:

Tonights episode was clearly one of those f*** IT moments of pure hilarity. Brilliant <3

Bianca and Ronnie are two of my favourite characters, not just in EE or right now but in any soap and of all-time. Brilliant epi.

Love tonights episode, especially with Dot, she is a marvellous actress, she will be sadly missed if she ever leaves Eastenders, she is getting on now, I can see the producers will write her character out in a year or 2. The photograph she was holding with Pauline and Ethel bought some wonderful memories of Ethel.

Tonights episode was fantastic i really enjoyed it and i loved bianca and ronnie teaming up they need a friend each and they could be fun together, dot was good tonight as she sparked the girls to realise what they want but it was bianca and ronnie that stole the show for me.

Thing is I don't know if June Brown's heart is even in it anymore. I posted a very long piece from one of the Sunday mags a few months back which interviewed her and she was very dismissive of elements of the show and a number of the younger cast (who she didn't name). Perhaps she was just being grumpy or coy or something, but I think she'd be fine with leaving...

 

She'd be missed though, obviously. She's light years ahead of Barbara Windsor, Pam St Clement, Laila Morse etc in the OAP acting stakes and more than that, she's a total institution. She can make viewers of any age laugh and cry. A great actress and character.

 

That said, I'm gutted that they just DROPPED the storyline in which she feared for her life whenever Dotty offered to make a cup of tea. :(

She may be light years ahead of BW, PSC and certainly LM - but she can't hold a candle to Maggie Jones (Blanche) from Corrie! I'm sorry but (IMO I hasten to say) June Brown is an awful actress - yes she may be brilliant as Dot - but Jean Alexander was an institution in Coronation Street as Hilda - but she was rubbish in everything else she was in. Its odd - that I dislike immensely (or rather think their acting is way below par) two characters that are most associated with the programs they're in - Dot/June & Hilda/Jean.

To be fair, who ISN'T light years ahead of Laila Morse :(

Pam St Clement can be fantastic at times aswell and i would rate her above Barbra Windsor aswell, but June Brown is a legend and Dot is aswell, she is such a huge huge part of EastEnders and i dread the day she leaves, i still enjoy her immensly on the show although i think her double act with Ethel( who i adored) will never be beaten.

 

June has often spoke of elements of the show she doesnt like and she has never been afraid to voice her opinions so im not surprised she has done so again, i dont think June will leave unless she gets very ill or dies as she has often said she has no plans to leave eastenders and she has no plans to ever retire.

Lovely? I cringed. :( Yeah Dr Al is hot but it pains me how he's ONLY eye candy. Nobody can be so pretty but so lacking a personality surely?!

 

Personally I thought the better scenes were with Zee and Denise. Chelsea's speech was quite moving too in an air-of-crack-addict-rambling-on sort of sense.
