I found it all a bit laughable tbh

absolutely..... it was the first time id seen it in weeks but yet again it was a great big eastenders AS IF!

To be honest, I thought it was a dreadful episode. Kara Tointon's acting wasn't great, so the emotional moments fell a bit flat for me.

But I think the root problem is that I still found it impossible to believe that Dawn really did love Garry. It just WOULDN'T HAPPEN.

exactly..... bollox storylines unrealistically executed... AS IF she would go off on that cabin boat just like that! no clothes, no baby stuff..AS IF a baby could be brought up on a cabin boat... a barge, yes, but not that toy thing they were on...

UTTER BOLLOX as usual.

You really are fucking dull to witness. If it's 'utter bollox' 99% of the time then why do you bother watching? You need to get a more fulfilling life if you've got enough spare to time to indulge in something you really detest.

i said that i hadnt watched it for some time, we watched it, or i should say it was on, between the 2 episodes of emmerdale that we enjoyed... now stop hounding the 'oldies' you petulant child (yes i noticed the ONLY person you had a go at on the 'bj gay thread' in the lounge was russt's despite a dozen other trite one liners ) it has been noted that you are out to goad the oldies, think you are clever huh? ooh look at my guys, i can 'diss' the oldies..... grow up.

It's nothing to do with your age. It's merely baffling that all you ever do in here is bash Eastenders and then when anybody picks you up on it you cite that Tony storyline as an example of something good. Well yes, one episode over the past twelve months escaped your criticism - that still doesn't answer the question of why you bother watching if you hate it so?

because soaps vary... storylines come and go, some are interesting, others not so, and imho eastenders is guilty as fook of putting out ridiculous, unbelieveable, incredible storylines that are nonsense. like i said, we dont watch it now ... because its rubbish, but it was on whilst we cooked our dinner. we usually have something else on. we dip into it every so often to see IF theres an interesting storyline...

just look at last nights ep ..... ok have them sail away, but get the effing logistics right! sailing off in her wedding dress with seemingly no other clothes with a baby with seemingly no other clothes or baby stuff (food, nappies etc) on a cabin boat which it totally unsuitable for a baby and without any money, bank cards, etc etc etc was utter bollox. in reality they would have sailed off on a barge, a home on water, after he waited for her to get everything she needed for both her and the bratt... i mean, thats basic common sense!

so it wasnt so much the basic storyline that was bollox, but the manner in which the detail was manifest, i mean who created that? a child? bollox doesnt equate to good drama.

To be fair Jark, why shouldn't he able to criticise? I don't like Emmerdale, but I still sometimes watch it if I'm extremely bored, does that mean I shouldn't be allowed to express my view on that?

No, but his constant criticisms bring the tone of the thread down. Every two weeks or so he pops in to express his dislike for the thing. Either be constructive about it and add some actual praise where it's due or quit harping on.

Well I often come in here with nothing but complaints about the awfulness of the writing of Eastenders. I'm not blaming the actors as some of them are pretty good (with the exception of June Brown). The writing however is dreadful ... these people do not and have never lived in the real world. You can still have a script close to realism and have it riveting - but most times Eastenders goes for cheapness.

Having said that ... the last 10 minutes of it tonight were brilliant! Zainab!!!!

As long as they're genuine legitmate criticisms, what does it matter if they bring the tone down? Let's face it, there's no point pretending EE is flawless, because it ain't. And to be fair, I have seen Mushy and Norma praise (albeit rarely) when it's due.

like ive already said, he thinks its fun to have a pop at the oldies, thats why the ONLY post he criticised in your 'bj gay' thread was russt's . <_<

and yet again i must ask.... since when has bj been a eastenders bumming site? it says 'tv and soap discussion' and ive said why ee is shyte atm, and why we dip into it now and again...

eastenders is one of tvs most popular shows, so praising or criticising it , passing comment on it, is what this forum is all about. but jerk knows that, he just sees a post by russ, me, grimly etc and thinks "ill have a cheap pop at them" <_< .... in fact ill throw his criticism back at him... jerk... why dont you EVER agree/praise anything me, russ etc ever post? if you dont like what we say.... dont read!

What the fuck are you on about? You sound positively delusional with all of this 'any excuse to rip into the OAPs!' lark. The only post I criticised was Russt's because it was the only one which didn't contribute anything to the dicussion other than another stereotype! His later post was a worthy contribution and I wouldn't deny that.

Since when have I asked you to 'bum' Eastenders? I certainly don't. You only need to look up this page to see me ranting about casting and character returns, but a little positivity every now and then would be nice - even Norma understands that and gives praise where due (sometimes!) - and we just don't get any with you. None. And it's tiresome.

So it's nothing to do with your age and it's nothing to do with Grimly or Russt. It's to do with you being a total fucking negative nancy. Who the hell are you to preach about supposed crusades against other posters anyway? You're trying to get a member banned on the grounds that he bought a Gary Glitter CD because you can't stand him! Kettle black etc.

And don't forget Mush ... TV Critics get paid to do this kind of thing ... we're doing it for free!

This week is the week Trina dies. During the week, Trina gets into the house and gets out of the shower. When Lucas is there, he sees her naked and can not resist and they sleep together. Lucas felt guilty afterwards, and asks her to meet him at the allotment. Lucas would do anything to make sure Denise doesn't know. Trina trips up and slips on a rake, which goes into her neck. She is dying, but Lucas decides to leave her to die.

Sounds like good fun!

Spoilers suggest that

the reveal of Lucas/Trina happens at Christmas

.

Well after tonight, it has to be said I am REALLY loving the Masoods now. Even Amira is settling in nicely, it's almost a shame it will inevitably be blown out of the water with the Syed/Christian thing.

Zainab and Mr Masood in particular are putting in standout performances.

But WTF is with Charlie and his Russian moll? WHERE IS BRENDA???

That Russian girl is Mary Tamm, an old Dr Who companion, I think its from Tom Baker era
